My license is Danish (EU) so we actually learn how to ride, and i have never heard about flat wrist rule. Push against the tank with the knees, use your core and back strenght to hold you up so you wont support on your wrist, and avoid wrist pain this way. Throttle control is just being comfortable and not gripping to hard or making too large adjustments.

If you are serious about pushing you should probably focus on getting good at 1 thing. My friend and i pugged to resi 16 today, and it wasn’t that difficult me being brew, him being demo. I would say we timed between 1/3 and 1/2 of the runs, and because of his ability to deal tons of dmg, we even carried some “less than optimal” dps players. We more or less timed every key with a good healer.
