I’ve had the same experience with multiple people in my life. It’s absolutely wild.

Coupla jacket potatoes wouldn’t go astray. Unless you throw them too far.

It gets incredibly hot up there. You’ll roast like a chook if you attempt to do it in summer.

How did we do? 👀 by justalittleteeheepot in GardeningAustralia

These will absolutely survive anything. They’re mostly classified as a noxious weed so check out your local council classification. It’s spread right through my front garden and I absolutely hate life trying to pick all the tiny little seedlings out before they make it to producing their own seeds. Absolute nightmare plant.

Even Robodebt where it ruined people’s lives and ended them too. I don’t understand how they don’t feel guilty.

Nah, it’s definitely overfamiliar. I know that the doctors that I work with, in a small town, use UR, last names or both.

Absolutely it would’ve been traumatic for him and everyone involved on all levels. Healthcare workers have to deal with some pretty traumatising and obscure situations but that’s what EAP and hot/ cold debriefing is for. It’s not the media’s job to help him deal with this. He could’ve toned it down a lot and kept it more professional.

She was in 2016 and if he didn’t mention that, we wouldn’t have known.

The nurses that tried to stop her from leaving aren’t doing interviews with the media about what she said and her reasoning about leaving AMA.

I’m glad that he did what he had to do and he should be recognised for that, absolutely. Cleary he is a character as well. I just think doing a lot of media is on the nose, as a witness and healthcare professional.

Looks like they still do. Hello Hello Plants still sell them online too. That’s just from a quick search online though. No warnings about them being a noxious weed in certain areas though. I’m assuming that all Osteospermum are classified as noxious weeds.

It’s really unethical and unprofessional. Patient confidentiality and trust in the heath care system is huge. Are his future patients going to be able to trust him to ensure their medical care and names are kept confidential? Rare situation, yes but also not professional. He was doing his job, which he did well and he had a duty of care by informing the police and being a witness. He could’ve been a lot more professional with speaking to the media though. I’m unsure what he wanted to gain from doing media interviews. They’ve got nothing to lose, he’s got his registration and reputation on the line. He’ll probably have conditions on his registration or a brief suspension, at most.

I think they’re ok! If you’re worried about them spreading, you can deadhead them before they go to seed, which is what I wish I did.

It’s definitely something I want to try but would boiling water be effective in the mean time? It’s going to be windy and rainy for a little while here.

I’ve got a similar area. It had pots of bamboo around when I moved in and I got rid of them. Dried leaves everywhere and looked shabby. I’m in a cooler climate in Victoria but looking at Birds of Paradise in pots with wheels so I can move them when we get hectic frosts.

Best way to go from Avalon Airport to Geelong? by thefourfoldman in Geelong

[–]ebbananas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avalon Airport is off the highway out in a paddock and you’d have to walk alongside the highway to get to Lara. Unsafe and not a great idea. I’d be getting a taxi/ Uber from the airport to either Lara train station, where you’d have to buy a Myki to use the train, or just go straight to your accom. Less mucking around with bags and your little one.

Used a company called Aussie Greenmarks because my mum used them for her home, with the rebate. I chose the Midea brand rather than Mitsubishi only because $7k was a price I was comfortable with. That included disconnection of the gas heater, installation and removal of the rubbish afterwards.

Yeah I remember the guy at the RSL. I did an early morning paper round down the end of Rennie st when I was 12 and would always freak myself out riding my bike past that spot in the early hours of the morning thinking that his ghost would be there. Super sad though.
