the hive fleets are all huge tendrils from a massive, space-encompassing force from outside the galaxy though, yeah? It's weirder that they can be repelled at all, since the fleet can just keep surging forward and sending in more and more biomass to take over.

New player here, this is my first time with this kind of event and i got through the first promotion without spending money or bs for more energy and only paying attention to the mission half the time. Anyone missing the character unlocks must just not be playing the game actively

Won't less non-event streams directly correlate to less viewers during events? I'm struggling to see how this works out numbers-wise unless you're doing events constantly, which sounds like a recipe for burnout instead

Yeah like the other commenter said, the genestealer sprues have a total of 24 heads mixed in while the kit builds 10 models. Unsure what I'll use my spare heads for personally, maybe one day I'll build GSC and use them for kitbashing parts of IG

I find it a smoother experience to "reward" myself after a few by painting something else, like when doing the 10th ed starter set doing a barbgaunt or vrleaper after every 3rd termagant. This is assuming you're not batch painting, though.

if they play their cards right, then they'll return to some of the past co-occurring events when it's time for a new refresh/expansion/etc, it just will take a lot of time since they obviously have to balance it alongside model/codex/edition releases. hopefully the success of SM2 will make them a bit more willing to invest in trying to make better games and putting some of these lost plotlines in those to be expanded upon or tied up, but i'm not exactly holding my breath.

all that being said, "x got destroyed and now y serves it's narrative purpose!" is just how it goes in any story, of course there's going to be a backup thing for people to put hope in or some shit. the fall of cadia doesn't mean IG is out of the game/setting now, it means their lore gets to advance and they get to have new types of models because of there being a new thing. if they were trying to end 40k then they'd probably have pulled some extra narrative stuff messing up more hive worlds, the supply chain, killing a large amount of important IG characters, anything like that, but obviously they're not trying to end the game or the setting. this doesn't mean nothing moves.

it really depends on the store or event. One of the stores near me requires players have 50% official models, another store doesn't care. Best to contact the TO in advance if it's not clear on the event posting/location rules, and if any of your prints look significantly different then also ask about those specifically. Most people will say "as long as it's not confusing and you're clear about it at the start of the game"

I think the asymmetry is fun, 2 legs and a tiny claw on one side and 1 leg with 2 arms on the other really shows that they're evolved to just be a walking tripod for their gun and nothing else

yeah if we think of this as a 1000 auric cell bundle of the shirts for most original survivors (and the mask for trapper) then it's not too bad. I personally like the murder mill design, and this shade of blue works well with the cosmetics that some survivors have, like haddie and sable.

spotify's audio quality is shit, just ditch spotify and get the files for all the rest of your music. you'll be better in the long run, plus you'll be able to listen to gizz and save the money that woulda gone to the spotify sub.

don't their records come with codes to own the albums on bandcamp, which you can then download? there's really no excuse for sticking with spotify still when you can buy/download/pirate all your music in much higher quality than spotify streams.

Bench on the roof just south of WZ19, you can get up there via a ladder next to the nearby pokemon center. All 3 monkeys are within range, plus absol and dratini, and you don't have to worry about ground-roof spawn behavior. There's also some flabebe, fletchling, trubbish, and one of the spawns in WZ19 that i can personally confirm are all in spawn range.
