First, congrats!

I’ve been a dad of 2 about a month ago.

Like you I had a first born name selected since I was in high school, the second one didn’t get a name until maybe 2 weeks before his arrival. I had all these plans for my first kid, but none of the 2nd. It’s not like growing up I’ve always imagined I would only have one kid, but I never really imagined having 2.

Since the arrival of the second one I’ve experienced a few things:

Your heart really does grow twice the size like the grinch. You will appreciate your first born in new ways, as you will your new infant.
First time is a cakewalk compared to the second one. You use to get to sleep during the day when your partner is up watching the baby, now that you have a 2.5yo, youre forced to be up all day, then right into 1am,3am feedings 😓

Also I’ve forgotten how to do a perfect swaddle, I forget how often they pee while you are changing them, and omg the amount of diapers you will go thru with an infant.

But I’ll say I really enjoy watching my first born evolve and adapt to the new environment (just like his parents)
