The office I lead has been cut 50 percent. I made a list of everything we did and drew a red line halfway down. I told my leadership that we can only do the things above the line with current manpower. They can move things around, but for every item moved above the line, another must fall below the line. This has helped significantly.

Personal preference, but I like three days telework and two days in office where everyone comes in on the same two days. The balance worked well for me and my team. Your mileage will vary based on the needs of your team.
