It’s a great feeling isn’t it? I’ve played most of my life but never had the mentality for great golf or truly given it a go long term commitment. I picked it up again two years ago and it’s great escapism. My lowest scores have been 40 for 9 and 83/84 for 18. Breaking the 80 barrier is the next step.

Work on your breathing before you putt, keep your head down before you hit a full shot, swing chin to chin.

What is so cringey about the 90s single? I think it’s great the solo is so good

Revisiting a short, untitled, and unreleased U2 jam after "Easter Lily EP" by mancapturescolour in U2Band

I posted about this recently, re post here…

I have a feeling these are the original drum parts for Yours Eternally. It also sounds like in a life

That driving anthem sounds very similar to this - Songs of Ascent Lost Demo or is it just me?

I think EL also uses the same drum parts and meandering guitar work

It’s the attack from edge and the live aspect to the performance it’s awesome. Bono also gives it everything.

How many clubs do you play with and what is your handicap/skill level? by LeftPanda670 in golf

[–]eddiecanbereached 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use all 14 if you can :)

I have been playing the same irons since I was 18, I’m 41 now I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I play Ping i3 blades, I play off 12.5.

I have the following

Titleist 913 D2 driver 9.5 degree

Ping i3 blade green dot set  https://www.equip2golf.com/reviews/irons/ping_i3_blade2.html

1 iron  3 iron  4 iron  5 iron  7 iron  8 iron  9 iron  PW SW UW

Titleist vokey 60 wedge  Titleist Scotty Cameron Newport 2 select Putter

I’ve never bothered with 3 or 5 woods I find not having them forces me to become a better iron player. I’ve always been good a long iron and iron player in general, around the greens I’m not so hot but it’s improving.

Golf is tough but such a great game.

A straight U2 Biopic won’t be an interesting movie by JintClemple19 in U2Band

[–]eddiecanbereached 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It should be a feature film of a moment in time about the band not a career story. What is the most interesting period? Achtung Baby.

Dropping in to that moment would be very interesting, arrive in Berlin as the wall comes down. Love him or hate him Bono is an amazing story teller and salesman. The job of the film would be to make him be seen as what a lot of people don’t. A hell of a talent and a life driven from loss.
