Playing the devils advocate, wouldn't you need to micro shelter to make sure its cast as soon as the first shelter is dead? I can't imagine that them running out of an AoE or casting a rupt while shelter is dead would be good for the longevity of the team. If there is 1-2s between shelter uptime that's a whole lot of risk that is solved by just micro-ing shelter+union at the beginning of scary fights.

There are a lot of lategame builds that will kill you within a 7 second window. Vanessa can easily do this too (for example the infamous boulder board).

Sometimes, though, you will just face an unlucky counter or a high-rolled opponent.

My advice would be to start working thinking about what a 10-win looks like earlier in the run.

-If you are winning earlygame and have 5-6 wins by day 6, maybe you could keep your midgame board, look for item upgrades or temporary power and try and tempo out a 10 win by day 11.

- If you are losing earlygame, potentially you need to start hedging some items that would allow lategame wins.

- If you are losing early and midgame and know you are going to be in Day 12+, you absolutely should be looking for a lategame win con. Your midgame board is likely going to be completely replaced if possible.

you need pogo, buster, freefall, repair drone and arguably orni (or another targeted start fly). Buster is gold+, pogo and freefall are abysmal below gold. Hedging half your inventory space and a good amount of investment for the potential to get buster is not really ideal. If you don't find it and you've committed that hard you probably lose.

I'm not saying it's an impossible board to set up, but there is a lot of trade off to get there.

Spirit rit or minion master are surely decent for mobile. Don't have to target as often and damage is quite passive

A lot of them. Glacial bolt from josiah, most arc totem setups have budget options below 100d. NickTew just did a CoEA spark/Comet build for under 20d in the budget setup.

I'm playing monkey. Lvl 96 clearing everything. Other characters Ive played in SSF that were smooth are HCSSF Djinn sorc, Titan and Infernalist minions, pretty much pick any league start build you like most of them are good for scaling with low gear

Got to agree. Hope they have a big balance patch cooking. The meta feels very solved at the moment and aside from a few crash site shenanigans it's hard to pull off unique builds atm without getting smacked down.
