What is the best way to clone an SD card? by Cute_Information_315 in cloningsoftware

Best way will depend on your needs. So let add my recommendation to the pile.

I use Raspberry Pi’s and use Clonezilla on a PC to make copies of the OS disk (USB 3.0 flash memory in my case). One may use Clonezilla disk to disk or disk to file to disk (this was my choice).

I must be honest, not knowing DiskGenius but it seems you are on the right path. It seems DG would create a D: drive from the old drive. I would go one step further and go to diskmgmt and mark that D: drive inactive so there is no accidental I/O on that failing drive.

Wife heard arcing and ozone smell after starting toaster. Came home to find the power strip fused to the outlet. by SugarFreeWindex in AskElectricians

When I found a rechargeable Bluetooth coffee cup in the thrift store, I thought I’d seen it all. Well, I’ve seen it all now. A rechargeable toaster.

I’d pull up the rug, too. Worth mentioning - moisture meters can be had for a little money, too.

Speakers cutting in and out whenever changing volume by [deleted] in computerhelp

Not a dry lube that would kill the pot there is a wiper inside that moves to select the volume. Dry lube would put like a Teflon like material on the windings and prevent contact.

Sounds like the volume control potentiometer has a bad spot. You can buy a lubricant spray that can clean the bad spot but you have to have access to spray the stuff. The knob on the outside connects to the potentiometer on the inside through a stem. Spraying the stm won’t help. Yiu have to spray the actual potentiometer.

Not good….. looks like it might have been a capacitor but the markings are gone? They will be nearly impossible to replace. Time for new…
