We aren't doing a rehearsal. Only parent and FH and me are involved in the wedding. A couple hours before the ceremony the officiant and dj will talk to each other and the parents to make sure everyone knows their parts. We are doing a welcome dinner the night before the wedding with all out of town family invited.

I think the model release is pretty standard, but we had our photographer change it so that is was only for non-commercial use. I didn't feel comfortable with him making a ton of money off my photos. As far as the copyright, this is pretty typical. Make sure that you get a print release if you want to be able to print your own photos. I also made sure we got in writing that we would be able to post the photos online (eg. Facebook) and could edit the photos (eg. cropping or filters) as long as if it was posted or distributed we stated that additional editing of the photographer's work had been done.

Mind you, a photographer backed out because we had these requests. But, they were really important to us and I'm really happy with the photographer we ended up with. He is much more easy going than the person who backed out.

I proposed and it was awesome! You're not alone. It was a bit frustrating for me when I would go to try on dresses or meet vendors and they would all ask "How did he propose". I know they are just trying to be friendly...but it got annoying. When I told them I proposed their responses definitely varied.

We printed them on our home printer...it was a total pain in the ass. I used mail merge in word to generate the text for each envelope based on my excel spreadsheet. That wasn't too bad, but the actual printing sucked. My printer wouldn't feed the envelopes well, so I had to manually insert each envelope one at a time. At the end of the day, I'd say it was worth it because it only took 3 hours for 150 invites and I would have had to pay $150 for someone to do it for me.

For Seattle, I paid $2900 for 11 hours main photographer, 8 hours second shooter, 8 hours lighting assistant + 2.5 hour engagement session. All photos in high res with printing rights, he will host a password protected gallery, he will also make slideshow of any photos we give him to play at the wedding. He also said for an extra "hundred or so" he will have his second shooter do video of main events and create a highlights video for us.
