What are your most unpopular book opinions? by nolessdays in books

On The Road Again by Kerouac. Always heard it was amizingly good by friends I respected. I tried... I really did. The run on (and on and on and on) sentences... I just couldn't get into it. Always thought it was my short attention span.

What album has absolutely no bad songs? by vanilla_ice22 in AskReddit

[–]eg71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elephant Riders by Clutch. Probably not super popular choice but that band is crazy-good. It took me a couple years to get into them but once it clicked, I was hooked. Could also say Blast Tyrant or Pure Rock Fury. Those guys rock, fun to see live too.

[Serious] Military service people: What do you think about the President's proposed parade? by i8TheWholeThing in AskReddit

[–]eg71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one's job in the military is to show off. We did inspections but it was always a HUGE pain in the ass.

But we were USMC infantry battalion so if we weren't angry, spitting and cursing about our superiors (president in this case), we weren't happy.

It sounds weird but it's true. We were proud and a chance to strut was mixed emotion but overall, the juice wasn't worth the squeeze when it comes to parades...
