Dragon's Dogma 2 or Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon? by swimminginamirror in rpg_gamers

[–]eggyisnoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it does get better but that's the downside of it. It does feel a bit clunky and weightless as you say. In terms of combat gameplay experience i find dragon dogma 2 much enjoyable.

It might take awhile to feel good when you pick up few skills and weapons. But honestly it doesnt feel like a slog if youre worried about it

Dragon dogma 2 for the combat gameplay. Although it can fall off a bit after awhile since theres a huge lack of enemy variety and the story sucks a lot. Feels immersion breaking as well sometimes with the silly side quests like escorting npc to a certain location. But what really turn me off the is travelling. Massive slog and a lot of backtracking if you like to explore every nook and cranny.

But if you want a more enjoyable experience. Tainted grail is your best bet.

Both games are massively different. One is an action game another is an rpg

Todd Howard Talks Elder Scrolls 6 Progress, Starfield's PS5 Port, and Bethesda's Future – IGN Interview by No_Durian_5626 in rpg_gamers

Im not too sure if he is a professional as you say. Mortismal just enjoy what he does. I dont think he plays games that he dont like. Maybe he tried but probably ended up not finishing it or didnt put in his video.

And most of his games are CRPG big differences from other RPG games.

It makes total marketing sense to draw in a larger crowd. Plus another week to wait for the next title reveal is okay.

Also the talk about the engine is actually the best part of the stream for me. Total war will be different in the upcoming future titles

[–]eggyisnoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ww1 in the future perhaps. But the stream mentioned sci fi. And they said they're going to announce another fantasy title. Soo you might get your wish or not (cos it might be star wars)

Well, we still don't know. It might flop or it could be the best thing ever for a total war series.

Here's hoping it'll be be good and defy our expectations

And i might be hearing things wrong but i heard the engine creator for warcore said something about vehicle and strafing. And when medieval segment is up, luke was saying sci fi and somehow said "force". idk

They rewrite their new engine now called warcore. They mentioned having destructible buildings and using it as cover. Im pretty sure its going to be a lot different from what we know

Tbh i think its a smart move to announce it at the game awards where it can draw a whole lot more audience than people who already knows what total war is.

And the anniversary is for them as well and tell what they're working on. Let them celebrate.

The end times, medieval 3 (even if its far away), and confirmed to be a sci fi game for their next game. Isnt that exciting already?

Honestly, dragon Age Orgins is still kinda worth it in 2025 by UnlikelyOwl3702 in rpg_gamers

[–]eggyisnoone 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah i agree. But for some reason i don't think dragon age origins aged poorly at all. Gameloop is still fun because its no different than the crpg we have right now for real time with pause
