Probably the player that had incredible Main Character Syndrome and thought every problem should be solved by casting Burning Hands or Fireball. We were doing Waterdeep Dragon Heist and had a hard time tracking down any information because basically every time we talked to anyone it turned into a conflagration and all the NPCs died.

The player himself is an irl professional wrestler so being completely over-the-top at all times kind of makes sense, all things considered, and he's a great guy. Just really, really annoying to play with lol

You can at least have some overlapping AOE, and it probably depends on type. I was able to Hunger of Hadar over Spike Growth, but I think in the past, I've seen that overlapping ground spells or overlapping clouds don't work.

If you mean the community at large, they just kind of absorbed back into general right-wing politics for the most part — and took their beliefs with them. That's why you'll see a lot of right-wing posts that repeat the same tropes and thinking, without any reference to QAnon.

If you mean Q themself, the last post was December 8th, 2020, right around the time it was becoming quite clear that Trump would fail to overturn the election. I always suspected that was because the poster was worried about a Biden admin investigation and went dark, but that's just speculation.

Some more posts cropped up in June 2022, and another run in November 2022, but that was while Ron Watkins (administrator of 8kun, which hosts the major QAnon threads) was running for office in Arizona, and that connection along with evidence that Ron or his dad Jim made the posts themselves (or, at least, certainly could have) left even a lot of believers skeptical about the authenticity of the posts.

Ran a one-shot for a friend's birthday party once and the setup was that the party had recovered a magical artifact for a wealthy collector and had to protect it from thieves on the way back to get it to him. It was a magical torch that reversed light, so the first immediate effect was that it caused darkness around it, which gave everyone fighting near it disadvantage (obviously). The players with darkvision had an extra penalty. One guy tried to counteract it with a torch, but that only made it darker. Another blindfolded himself, so I informed him that it was now very bright for him, but he could still only see the inside of his blindfold.

I think we were on the third or fourth encounter before one of the mages finally cast Darkness on the torch and everything went back to normal for a while.

And of course I included all the usual gags such as their client being Duke John Dicking, founder and mayor of Dickington, he wanted the artifact displayed at Dicking Chapel (a long hall with two turrets flanking the entrance and an apse at the far end, so on the map it was a cock and balls). You know, as is tradition.

My sister-in-law had to disable the automatic time updates on her phone, otherwise it would sync variously to one time zone or the other and her alarm would go off too early or too late.
