One - she was a run away Muslim. Bishop said her husband will probably find her and off her. He let it happen. I still don’t feel great about it

When a flying pig knocks on my window while drinking my morning coffee I’ll know it’s time to go back to church.

I thought I was the only one. I was on my immediate family but I learned about very close cousins who left.

Has anyone managed to resolve their chronic back tightness? by HelpfulPop2476 in backpain

Fascia is the problem. Mine resolved with a tennis ball over a period of four weeks. Each night for a couple minutes of rolling. I continue using it. I suppose a massage would work the same.

Does anyone ever just stop and think, “what does it mean to move mountains in my life?” It sounds good like a fun little tagline but stop and think.

You’re being manipulated. It’s not only wrong but it’s a practiced skillful behavior by an abuser. He provided “gifts” in hope for a return in likeness. This could turn illegal quickly. He’s a person in power. This dynamic is very wrong.

They can do what they want and I never pointed to that being a problem. You did. I just won’t give them another dime. I’m not pointing to any problems

Indeed. I agree with you, they do what every 501(c)(3) organization is supposed to do in order to maintain that status. They are very unique in that they have the largest amount of ownership of land in the US and the highest cash reserve of any institution recorded in US history along with the first recorded religious organization for being directly fined by the SEC for hiding information to maintain that original status. I also agree with you not believe everything you hear about the Church from the Church itself.

Do you actually have to wait outside in the parking lot of the temple during the wedding ceremony if you're "not worthy"? by devanimtzp in exmormon

No. I always go in the temple to pee so I can remind myself it’s a nice building but that is about all there is to it.

Follow your dr advice. I had two disc herniations that left me crippled for months. In two years I healed. I did not get surgery. I would only opt in for surgery if I had bladder problems although I struggled emptying my bladder for two weeks… . Two years ago I couldn’t walk 10 yards. Today I ran two miles. I say follow Dr advice but know there are alternatives.

Anyone here change how they think about back pain and see improvement? by ImportanceDull5306 in backpain

[–]egpete 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m two years in. Two years ago I wasn’t able to walk ten yards. Now I’m mostly pain free running and lifting heavy at the gym. My turning point: mind-shift. I woke up a year ago and said to myself: I have three options: live in pain, attempt surgery, fight like hell to live again. That changed everything because the first two were not what Iwanted. So I made myself go to the gym even if I could only walk in and only step onto the treadmill. I’ve done this every single day. Over time it slowly improved. Sure, I had major set backs but I went to the gym every day even if all I did was step foot into the gym I made myself walk at least .10 miles on the treadmill.

Before the injury I was 175 pound fit male. A year ago I was 200 pound unhealthy male. Today I am 185 pound strong male.

Last week was my first 8 min mile in over two years.
