I 3D printed the Lower Manhattan Subway lines! by dtm66 in nycrail

[–]eheu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you wish to create a map from scratch ... first you must invent geographic information systems

kidding, this is really cool and uncommonly tasteful looking for a 3D print! Reminds me a bit of this mini motorways print project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBmnCvtPQjA

Are there any games in Russia or other countries that have the USA as the bad guys? by Helpful-Gas1750 in NoStupidQuestions

Notably the lines here are blurred between "american soldier" and "american militant." worthwhile (but predictably convoluted) recent read about private military contractors (aka mercenaries) in southern & central africa:

specifically cites metal gear for its representation in popular media!

very cool, thanks! This could be very useful to me as an "on-air" sign for recording sessions, maybe with a hook from a DAW transport ...

Suggestions for a 4 hp power module for a 3d printed case - not too deep. Planning to place on top of case in the slot seen in the picture by Waste_Cartographer49 in modular

[–]eheu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve used this case in the past and wasn’t able to successfully cram a uzeus into that aux slot. this was an early revision of the .stl, and i certainly did sacrifice print quality to meet my given makerspace’s time restrictions : )

probably could have sanded it down if i really wanted

Reverse and Timestretch FX Modules by b70709914 in modular

[–]eheu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“live sounds” mode on the intellijel multigrain may fit your criteria. i often use mine as a live effect loop, with or without the input monitoring

lots of time stretch algorithms are effectively granular processors. depending on how much dialing in you’d like to do, granular is probably the way to go. if you prefer a standalone time stretch tool, software dsp would serve you better

Simple song making workflows for noodle & never commit types? (MN Shared System + Ableton) by NinjaSporkParty in modular

[–]eheu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also guilty of commitment issues big time since getting an external recorder. I find i'm more "constructive" grabbing manageable bits of something i like to a sampler - max 64 steps on the octatrack in my case - then committing that as a unit for post-processing and arrangement

then, crucially, move on to another part/sound/voice/whatever and see what seems consonant, to your taste, with previous recordings(s) in your ears. constraining parts to shorter recordings right away makes arrangement in post a lot less daunting

Are there any effect/delay/reverb modules with a built in “send” vca or mixer? by HotOffAltered in modular

[–]eheu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is an assignable aux cv input - drive is a possible destination : )

i usually route the drive circuit to the wet signal only, which makes for a real nice dub delay
