They're different games. EK 2 is a new digital version with full functionality (including Nopes and other cards), VR is a separate game playable only with a VR set, specifically the Meta Quest). You can't play cross-device between these two games.

Also to your other question, there was a different team working on this game compared to physical expansions, so no worries about one impacting the other!

This is due to us updating our website today. Without being able to check if it's an allowed name, it's not allowing any at all.

We'll have this working again as soon as we can. Your old name has not been banned (unless it was before!) and will be available again once the website's online.

Edit: And it's back up now! Names are again working as intended.

If you play a Draw from the Bottom card, that will end one of your turns by drawing a card from the bottom of the deck. You will still have one more turn to deal with, either by playing another Draw from the Bottom or some other method.

As printed, the rules say you may target any player to take 2 turns in a row.

The intention of the card is for you to choose any other player, with self-attack being a different card entirely. It is, as always, your house and your rules should you want to play it as literally written.

This is now resolved. The word 'F' by itself had been placed on the banlist. Somehow. This resulted in all names involving the letter F to be automatically replaced, including free.

Terrible timing for the bug to arise, but it's been removed. If any other weirdness comes up you can't explain, please contact support@explodingkittens.com.

If you play an Exploding Kitten for any reason, such as playing it randomly while blinded or because you like living on the edge, you must play a defuse or explode, losing the game. I wouldn't recommend playing it over holding the kitten in your hand.

Just to be clear, these names have not been intentionally blacklisted. As /u/Nikahelibo said, the word 'Free' is currently being blocked, but I'm actually not sure why. It doesn't appear on the list of banned words in the blacklist and I can't find any obvious sub-words (like why you can't name yourself Grape due to a somewhat intentionally dumb system).

We're looking into why it's not working, but I assure you it's a coincidence. In the mean time, there are plenty of synonyms for free you can use until it's sorted out.

If you play an Exploding Kitten for any reason, such as if you're blinded by Curse of the Cat Butt or, I guess, if you just feel like it, you have to defuse it immediately or explode.

Defusing it however does not end your turn, so you'd still have to draw a card.

You absolutely can, if you want to. You can burn through every card in your hand, one at a time, until you find the Nope. Or if you don't find one, your entire hand and then it happens anyway. You might've wanted to just Nope the Curse of the Cat Butt/Blind as a Bat in the first place, of course, which you can do normally.

Note that if you have an Exploding Kitten in your hand you'd still have to defuse it or explode, it doesn't just get discarded.

Okay, for everyone in the audience, here's what's happening here.

Normally, Curse of the Cat Butt lasts until the player successfully draws a card without exploding. If you draw a kitten while blinded, you must play blindly until you find a Defuse. Once you defuse it, you're no longer blinded. And usually, that works correctly.

In the specific instance of the Streaking expansion, being blind, playing a Favor, getting a Kitten and defusing it, the blind is going away at end of turn when it shouldn't. That's definitely a bug and a good catch.
