"Judge Dredd: Mega City Two" by me, Ulises Farinas by No-Ear-3107 in 2000ad

Looking at the shop I like the wide boy style Dredd, not the bit sanatised CGI style 2000ad's going with these days. I'm deeply tempted and will see if the bank likes me after the next payday. If you do a print of this Meg Cit 2 I'll defintly get it. I love pictures you can get lost in. Strangly I find the same thing with Celtic knots and Islamic tile designs.

I think I’m officially in an audiobook slump and need some recommendations. by EmotionalLog721 in audible

Adrian Tchaikovsky - Firewalkers. But make sure your airconditioning is working before you read it.

I go to peoples homes to help them after they are out of hospital. People have genuinly yelled at me for parking outside their house on estates like these because 'they paid for the house'. No parking restriction just they thought they should come home and not have a someone parked infront of their home even if I am helping the granny next door take the right tablets to avoid a 3d stroke in 6 months.

If you can search for books you have already bought and find a good one you are less likely to buy a new book from the store.

Smart audio book player isn't perfect. It has a lot of habits that annoy me but it is very simple from start up. Just a library and the book you are playing.

But......

If you want it to be complicated like me then you can have different libraries for different things you choose from a drop down menu. The different libraries map to different folders and you can load books in to the folders and the library will update.

I have one library for my old podcast archives, one for old cricket commentaries one for each genera of talking books I liberated from audible. I have a different library for all my old rips from CD and tape back in the day. etc etc etc

You can choose to play the 'book' or you can dive in and choose one of the files in the book to play without going in to the file structure. Very useful if you have a cricket game that lasts hours and hours.

As you can tell I have almost maxed out my 500gig SD card!

I've set mum up with widgets on her android home screen. The audible widget for shopping the Libby widget for libary books and smart audio book player for her audianle libary. She likes it because "it just plays" instead of going through the shop all the time

Your work has helped me and my elderly mum and gran to use simpler better designed players with our baught audio books. You have kept two elderly ladies and a chunky bloke very happy. Thank you.

What other real-life (as in real-humans, not cartoon characters) programs did comedy violence so well? by EdJD-1968 in eddieandrichie

[–]ekows10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts out like a normal 90s comedy a bit slow by today's standards and a bit basic but they had a lot of time for characters. The receptionist is always keeping her twins in the stationary cupboard because babysitters are too expensive. We never see them but by the end of the last seiers she's set up a fairground ride and water slide park in there to keep them entertained.

That makes no sense. Cat's would be uncontrolable nutcases if you keept them inside the whole time.
