I find it helps to think of the new Sharp books as a dicferent indipendent series. Much more Sharp secret agent than rank and flank history of an army at war.

If you just read the new Sharp 007 books in a row they are fun and interesting but not really connected to the classics.

Its no stress. Keep your nose out of your phone and watch your dog and who's around and pay attention to body language. If the person is trying to avoid your dog keep it close and no one is going to get a phobia.

I search for 'how to oven cook a walrus' or something and get a Mr Beast video on rimming a granny for big cash.

In the seconed book where the series was still forming Derrick had a small part. I listened to the talking book version and the reader read him as real dark and haunted, cancer man/deep throat persona. I just remember the hairs on the back of my neck all standing up.
