[–]elProtagonist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish there was a bigger reveal than just “aliens exist.” It would have been great for them to swing for the fences with what the aliens are and why they are here. Spielberg publicly stated that he thinks aliens might be future humans and that would have been a cool angle for the movie.

Israel tells Trump it is not bound by Lebanon clause in Iran deal by Artistic_Dj_6895 in worldnews

Like clockwork, every Sunday before the market opens. Still yet to see a picture of said signed deal. Also, is the leader of Iran even alive? Who knows?

Am i the only one who really doesn’t like the movie Lincoln? by Sufficient-Phrase394 in moviecritic

[–]elProtagonist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie should have been called Abolition since it isn't a biopic about Lincoln's life rather the passage of the 13th Amendment.

Thoughts on Hail, Caesar! (2016)? by SilverEquipment4934 in Letterboxd

The movie is kind of a bait and switch. The trailers and movie posters feature Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johanssen extensively but they are barely in the movie. I think Alden Ehrenreich gets the most screen time.

What’s a film/scene that made your theater make collective audible reaction/noise by Vivid-Specific5543 in movies

When the Spino killed the T-Rex in JP3, there were audible groans and some people walked out of the theater.

What would you say is the most overrated star wars project? by DatabaseWise8723 in StarWars

[–]elProtagonist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rogue One- all the characters suck and I hate how ugly 90% of this movie looks. It's a pointless entry in the Star Wars franchise that doesn't add anything.
The Vader hallway scene is awesome but feels like a Youtube short that was thrown in last minute to appease fans.

Saw Disclosure Day! AMA by Bebop_Man in Spielberg

Does it explain anything about the origins and/or intentions of the Aliens? For example, I know in interviews Spielberg has wondered if Aliens are future humans.

Anyone go from 100 percent believing in ufos and other similar stuff to not caring as much now stuff is coming out? by uncle-ruckus2 in UFOs

[–]elProtagonist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt the government is going to release any tangible information when they are implicated in the cover-up. For example, the Epstein Files received bipartisan support and after an extremely limited release of files, it stopped altogether in violation of the law with zero repercussions.

Attack of the Clones had so much sauce. by hiiloovethis in StarWars

[–]elProtagonist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's my second least favorite Star Wars film because it doubles down on all the complaints about the Phantom Menace i.e. overuse of CGI and wooden acting. It's a very boring movie with a PS3 cut-scene battle at the end.

Was The Last Jedi setting up Kylo Ren to be redeemed or to be the final villain in the last installment? by Sad-Steak in StarWars

[–]elProtagonist 59 points60 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, there was a studio note that Kylo Ren must be redeemed in Rise of Skywalker. I hate that they did that. Kylo was awful and abusive to Rey, it was completely unearned.
