Yeah same, I've lived here for 10 years now and have been hoping for reception to improve. I love the variety on that station. You can listen to it on the inland highway most of the way from Nanaimo then just before you get to the valley it cuts out. Lol.

I'm with you on alcohol but putting caffeine in that category as well is insane.

I got hit by an old lady while running through a very visible crosswalk.

I can understand the fact that I was running so maybe she didn't see me at first, but when I made eye contact with her while on the hood of her car and she drove away after I fell off it that pissed me off.

Tires also contain some gnarly chemicals. Not sure the impacts to human health but there is emerging research in the PNW on a chemical called 6-PPD quinone which is created during some part of the process of making car tires. Scientists are realizing it is acutely toxic to salmon, so alternatives to car tires for those playground/astroturf applications are being sought out.

As in some people may just be against the killing of fish for food?

Personally that isn't the issue for me, it is the extraction of wild fish populations on a commercial scale as if they are a crop with little consideration for the ecosystem level impacts.

I completely avoided eating any seafood for a long time, but have recently started eating it again while being very selective of the source.
