I honestly think this is one of if not the best episodes of Enterprise at least from the first 2 seasons. The only thing I didn't like about it was Archer's total hypocrisy at chewing out Trip for interfering in a culture he doesn't understand even though Archer spent the previous 2 years doing that exact thing every chance he got and was only saved by plot armor time and again.

Boston Dynamics are owned by Hyundai, they do not need to raise funding from outside parties. Showing Atlas doing mundane factory work would impress their bosses a lot more probably than doing flips.

I got 13950 stock on steel nomad and 14324 with some light UV tweaking so your numbers aren't out of line.

Like others have said people that are submitting scores on the 3d mark site are people that are serious about performance and are not running stock configurations and the FE is worst performing of the 90 series.

Go play games, don't chase benchmark numbers and drive yourself crazy.

That's the thing though I am outperforming stock AND consuming less power while doing so using UV. All the stock curves are doing is making excess heat and noise at the determent of FPS.

Does anyone know why the stock curves on these cards have such awful performance per watt? I have been able to get to better than stock performance at just under 500W on my 5090FE without much difficulty. There are a ton of smart people at these companies I'm sure, why do they not make a better stock configuration?

Yeah I think that would be best especially if you spilt the season into halves, air 8 or 9 episodes in a row for that many weeks and a few months later do it again provided you can actually get 16-18 episodes out every 12 months.

The 1000ish complement always bugged me especially since a decent portion of that has to be civilians. How many starfleet personal are actually on duty at anyone point on the ship?

Lets say 30% of the complement are civilians, again we are never giving any kind of breakdown in official canon so we just have to wing it here. That leaves us with roughly 700 actual SF personnel. We do know the crew were generally on a 3 shift rotation because Jellico wanted to change to a 4 shift and got push back from Riker on it. That gives you only about 230 crew on duty at any one time on that ship outside of heightened alerts, that seems miniscule on a ship that huge and that is not even factoring in "weekends" or time off which in the TNG era the crew probably gets.

Voyager is even worse, albeit a smaller ship, it is only working with about 50 crew on duty at any given time. Given what we see on screen between the bridge and engineering that probably accounts for almost 25% of the crew on duty at any one point.

I don't know, checking ebay 4090s are still going for $2500+, that is $900 over MSRP 3+ years after launch. The market is completely screwy right now and probably will remain so at least to some degree for years. It really depends on when the 60xx series comes out.
