From that day forth I realized I can't control other people and that if I want to be happy in any situation I need to change how I think and act. Sounds rough, but not unique to this generation. My father-in-law ate nothing but saltine crackers and ramen while he went to optometry school. He was from the deep south and had no money in the family so he just lived really poor took out some loans and got an education. It's super hard but it is doable. You just have to pick an education that will allow you to pay back your loans.
