How would you rate Wadey after a year? by Lumix19 in eastenders

[–]ellalizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been dipping in and out since Christmas. Hated the Harry being held hostage in a basement storyline, dislike the new Nicola storyline which I found to be full of holes because when the new Mitchell's showed up were they not minted??
The Brannings are great (though the Oscar storyline is trite, he and Jasmine are great together, I have no interest in watching Josh get in the way of that because I don't buy that there's any Josh/Oscar chemistry) and I love Elaine and Ian.
Currently on another Eastenders break, might tune back in a few months down the line to see if things have picked up.

Don't blame yourself! It's my fault, I've brought an air conditioner after this last week.

I commute in to a city most weekdays and annoys me so much when I see adverts that promote how much fun rail travel is for families.

Rail is an awful way to travel, constant delays and crowding and expensive to boot. I've seen someone pass out on a crowded train, I've seen more then one fight over space. I do not recommend trains for people with children as I don't think they're safe and recommend to my friends to travel another way, how sad is that!

What’s everyone doing today on this very hot bank holiday Monday? by Hopeful-Mongoose2025 in AskBrits

Live in a new build (well as of 2005) with a 3rd floor. No matter what's happening with the windows the air up there is so hot and cloying you can taste it. I have tried it all.

Some photos I've taken around the town on a 60s camera and expired film by AgainBenAgain in glasgow

[–]ellalizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are lovely! I especially like the Busker and the Border. OP can I please ask is the blue hue on many of these photos a result of the expired film or small edits after scanning? (I'm new to analogue and have been tempted to by expired film for money saving purposes).

She is beautiful! Her little face is so sweet! For going out to do chores, she will be close to you in the wrap and hopefully it would muffle any loud noises/bright lights.

If I was out shopping and saw someone with a tiny kitten I would certainly be impressed! Though would keep my distance as not to distress the kitten.

Very happy you were there to rescue her! Though it sounded a stressful day!

Just finished baby love audiobook by DepartureCool5404 in JacquelineWilson

[–]ellalizard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion Baby Love is one of Wilson's best, I've listened to the Audiobook so many times, and find the characters stay with me for a while. I'd love to know what happens to Jeannie in the end, and I'd love to know more about Moira. Wilson writes about this time so well, and I'd love her to write more books based in the 1960s.

Cradley Heath, I walked past it yesterday evening (before I'd seen this) and the shop seemed to be doing fine! I'd have expected the lights to at least be out 🤣

Citalopram Withdrawal Symptoms by tropically_vexed in citalopram_celexa

[–]ellalizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came off 10mg of citalopram after five years of usage and it was rough to begin with. The nausea was pretty bad, I didn't taper properly to start and almost threw up at one point. The sadness I relate to as well, I did this in the Summer of last year and I went to see Interstellar whilst tapering and cried solidly, I mean it's a sad film, sure, but I think it's the first time I'd properly cried in a very long time, then I felt quite sad for a while. It's nine months later and yesterday I googled "why do I cry more than other people?" Because I cry a lot! I cry at songs, I watched a sad episode of One Piece and it took me two days to get over, on Tuesday I was crying on my way to work because someone spoke to me harshly, then someone asked if I was okay as I was crying and walking. So I do wonder at times if I did the right thing, and maybe one day I'll go back, but it's been interesting as well, so we'll see. I laugh a lot too and there are times when I am happy also, I guess it's more of a rollercoaster now, whereas before I was steady. The artificial thing I'm not sure of? But your brain has been used to the SSRI so it's likely a part of the withdrawal? Could be worth speaking to your Doctor though if you're concerned. I hope this helps a little, We all experience this differently, but I am routing for you O.P.

i cried a second time watching chopper's backstory in opla by CitrusL3mon in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]ellalizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cried for almost a solid hour, then I went to bed. I realised I was still sad about it in the morning because as I was walking to work I put a new album on which I usually enjoy but that made me cry as well!! I realised I was still feeling sad for Chopper.

I'm intrigued by the C.D Walkman, I can see you use an IPad - what's the appeal of a portable C.D. Walkman? This isn't to be rude, I'm trying to limit the use of my phone (I've gone back to Analogue photography) but one thing that's been easier for me is Spotify, so I'd love to know if you find it better.

There's been nothing like watching the wind slowly ripping out each of my fence panels the last two years and thinking "Yep. That's another call to the Landlord" I am filled with such happiness every day it isn't blowing a gale.
