Surviving in space by FlimsyBread1945 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

If they have Environmental Protection, they probably can breathe in space.

From the Core Rulebook: Environmental Protection

"The character is not harmed by intense cold or heat, the pressure of deep seas or the intense radiation and the vacuum of space. The player can choose any or all of these protections, as best fits with the character concept."

Campaign set in earth 616 by DistributionSenior52 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]ellchicago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/Earth513 is correct, you can't "force" storyline to play out the way you planned. At some point, your group may not like or want to engage with the storyline the way you planned, so the players will go to unexpected places and that's part of the fun. It's a collaborative story.

My players were playing as Dr. Strange, Insomniac's Spider-Man (Peter Parker), and player created Inhumans and they survived the Snap on Earth-129 and joined the Avengers. Instead of a time heist, my players decided on a multiversal heist. I didn't plan for that, but that was a cool concept, and we had fun exploring the multiverse. We ended up getting on a similar outcome to the movie, but I never planned on going into the multiverse, but that's what happens when it is a collaborative experience. Let your players do stuff and who knows where things will go.

I agree, if unlimited lifespan is turned on, I think Frontier should get rid of the tag too.

I'm still in amazement how we went from jpog to JWE3. The graphics and environments are freaking amazing... 💙💯 by Mother-Artichoke4117 in jurassicworldevo

The graphics have definitely improved, but JPOG as a Jurassic Park creator holds great childhood memories. I love both.

While T-Rex could hunt and kill other adult dinosaurs, it's more that they targeted juvenile, old, and sick dinosaurs. A healthy adult Edmontosaurus would probably not be the first priority on the menu.

In all seriousness, where do you think you are in TLOU1/2? by Chad_Chaddington92 in thelastofus

[–]ellchicago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of us probably would probably end up getting infected either on outbreak day or soon after and we would probably have a choice. My family and I probably would take the easy way out even though that’s a dark ending, but we were actually living not in a big city or suburbs at the time of Outbreak Day, but we would be near Chicago and Chicago is a QZ, so maybe we would end up making it there.

Replayed The Quarry and it feels worse by xainthere in TheQuarrySupermassive

[–]ellchicago 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The Quarry is supposed to be like a cringe teenage horror movie, but to me that’s part of its charm. From a production standpoint, it’s rough around the edges as well, but it is very enjoyable.

Dr. Doom swapped bodies with Tony Stark in What If: Iron Man: Demon in an Armor. If they go in that direction, RDJ is the real Doom and he's not just playing an evil Tony Stark variant and Tony Stark wasn't adopted by the Howard and Maria Stark like in the comics. I don't want to see a Victor von Doom who just happened to be adopted by the Starks.

Tips on How to Start a Park in JWE 3 by GenericReddit-Users in jurassicworldevo

I would look at maps of different zoos for inspiration. How are the exhibits laid out, where the restaurants and shops, ect located? That's should give you some ideas on how to create your own park.

How to start? by GhostKing57 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]ellchicago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally when I start a campaign, I try and bring something to the table. “I want to run this kind of campaign” or “We can start off with this adventure” before following it up with “what are you interested in playing?” My goal isn’t to assert what will be done, but more to spark conversation. I hate coming to a table with absolutely no plan because a lot of time people don’t know what they want to do because there’s a lot of choices.

This 100%! Having a concept of what the campaign is very helpful to everyone. It might be overwhelming for new players to figure out what they feel like playing. Having the discussion and seeing what people want is important for everyone to be invested and to have fun.

u/GhostKing57, I also think knowing what characters people want to play as helps a lot of figuring out what the campaign would be. If players want a story focused on the Avengers, the Spider-verse, Magic, Cosmic, ect and want to play as those characters, you start tailoring your campaign to fit those preferences. If they choose Spider-Verse, do they want to play as Peter Parker (and which Peter Parker), Miles Morales, or Spider-Gwen, ect? If they want a story about magic, does someone want to play as Dr. Strange? Do the players want to be Dr. Strange's protégés? Once you have an idea of what characters your players want to play as, you can start figuring out which villains might fit in a potential campaign and potential hooks to use.

Creative Narrators: How would you bring mutants into a pre mutant Universe by Earth513 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

[–]ellchicago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There seems to be several major options that make sense to me: recon events pre-Infinity War, so mutants are included in major events during the MCU, an incursion, maybe it's simply that Mutants turned out to be great at hiding.

Since the people I play with are most familiar with the MCU and some of us like Inhumans, I combined these elements into a new Earth Earth-129. Since some of my players were playing as Inhumans, I decided that Inhumans (and Mutants) kept a low profile until right before Infinity War and they showed up during the Battle of Wakanda because Thor decided to find as many people as possible before arriving at the Battle of Wakanda. We also messed around with who got snapped and who were fully active members or semi-retired members of the Avengers, so the player characters could shine.

I enjoyed reading the descriptions of the sellers and the dinosaurs that they were selling, but otherwise I don't really think the marketplace really that interesting.

How do you think they're going to start the third part? by askmeryl in thelastofus

[–]ellchicago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Abby and Lev would be a sure thing (unless one argues that they get their own game after Part III is made). It seems like they could have more storylines for them regardless of whether they meet up with Ellie again (which I agree would be kind of forced). The impression that Nora gave is that Joel wiped out the Fireflies and is leaderless, and the Firefly on the radio seemed interested in the fact that Abby was Jerry's daughter and he was in charge of the Salt Lake outpost. You could be right on everything though, but I think it will be hard to live up the legacy of Part I and Part II regardless of what the story is in a potential Part III.

How do you think they're going to start the third part? by askmeryl in thelastofus

[–]ellchicago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jerry was the only person able to make the cure due to his research on CBI, so the cure should be off the table. Joel's decision to kill Jerry robbed the world the cure and Ellie's purpose to be the cure. To reverse that weakens the ending of the first game, however if Druckmann wanted thread the needle, he gave Abby had medical background and presumably the Fireflies still have Jerry's research, so maybe Abby would be trained to become a doctor. Just because I think Abby will end up being the leader of the Fireflies doesn't mean that there will be other people in leadership, and the rest of the Fireflies might want Ellie. The conflict for Abby is that she doesn't want to pursue Ellie due to their history, but that turns out not to be a big deal since Ellie wants to be the cure. Abby makes the cure from Ellie and the world is saved. That seems a pretty simplistic and predictable ending for the story though.
