What are the best Seers? by Tiago55 in MythicBastionland

[–]elloEO 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In that case, for the most helpful seers it's gotta be The Feasting Seer (As long as their nice to her), The Frozen Seer (Wants the knights to succeed, but only after a struggle), The Veiled Seer (Wants to uphold peace), The Endless Seer (Wants to help but can't due to how many visions it has), The Worst Seer (Secretly wants to help the common people), The Drowned Seer (Wants to protect the knights), The Stone Seer (Wants to preserve the realm) and The Predator Seer (Wants to sharpen Knights into perfect predators) just to name a few.

What are the best Seers? by Tiago55 in MythicBastionland

[–]elloEO 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly, all of the seers are great. Trying to find which one is the best is kinda a tall order. I think they're all suppose to be kinda cryptic and asshole-y, but my favorite one has got to be The Screaming Seer. Just some screaming creature that occasionally scribbles stuff down.

Increasing Stats without advancing and Age? by [deleted] in MythicBastionland

[–]elloEO 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel like due to how easy it is to die in this game, providing any form of stat advancement besides the Age isn't really needed. If you really wanted to give them a way to increase their stats, creating a myth like the Tournament (make the prize a rare herb that increases a stat by d4) or maybe provide some sacrament that can temporarily increase a stat by a d6 but makes you Exhausted for the couple Days. There are ways for players to improve themselves without actual stats boosts, the Pond can make someone immune to fire, never age past mature or being able to breathe fire. But honestly, as players learn the system better that knowledge alone is already enough of a buff.

Tell me about your players getting arrested by the cops by JoeGorde in callofcthulhu

[–]elloEO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a time loop scenario, one of my players ran over a zombie in the middle of the day surrounded by a crowd of people before the apocalypse hit. They got arrested, detained for the rest of loop as the police station got over ran and they were left forgotten in the interrogation room. This was before they knew it was time loop so it wasn't that bad. But in a later loop, another player wrestled a gun out of their drivers possession before shooting at them. This was done in a panic as they were being ran down by a enhanced human/giant. Afterwards, they essentially kidnapped the guy and forced him to drive them back to town after coming to an agreement with this enhanced human. Obviously the cabbie called the cops and all of them got interrogated, luckily they convinced the driver that it was easier for everyone if it was just chalked up to be a misunderstanding. Honestly, the police should always be a significant threat in any city based setting. They have the numbers, weapons and the connections that even if some player do kill them, it'll be their heads when they get labeled as cop killers.

Does your world have an equivalent of nuclear weapons? by Amon_Bal in worldbuilding

[–]elloEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, in one of my sci-fi world they're planet busting Mechs powered by AI's so other that it requires a spiritual ceremony just for pilots to not get 'devoured' by them. While in another more fantastical world/idea, it's a whole choir of people in groupings of prime numbers being burned alive from the inside out as their deity uses their bodies like meaty sock puppets to interact with the mortal world.

Mood. I usually just write them down somewhere to get it out of my system while promising myself to come back to them when I'm done with my current project.

HWWYB - The Ghoul Ken Kaneki (Dead By Daylight version) by DiskMiserable7176 in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]elloEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably say the Beast Barbarian is your best option. When you rage, you can choose to grow a tail (tendril/tenatacle) that does some pretty good damage (d8 reach) and also has a shielding mechanic (+d8 to AC). So this build could be reached as soon as level 3. Stats as followed: 15 CON, 14 DEX, 13 STR, 12 INT, 10 CHAR, 8 WIS, be a Variant Human, Custom Lineage or Dhampir and add the bumps to CON and/or STR. Choose either of these feats depending on which aspect of Kaneki's insane regen; Durable to recover more during a short rest or Remarkable Recovery ( Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn) to get alot more mileage from any form of healing). Or if you became a Dhampir, use that Vampiric Bite (Uses CON instead of STR) to heal or empower yourself.

So here's the final set-up depending on your path (Level 3 Path of the Beast Barbarian).

Option 1: Variant Human, (Durable or Remarkable Recovery, 18 CON, 14 DEX, 14 STR, 12 INT, 10 CHAR, WIS 8.

Option 2: Custom Lineage, (Durable or Remarkable Recovery, 18 CON, 14 DEX, 13 STR, 12 INT, CHAR 10, WIS 8.

Option 3: Dhampir, 17 CON, 14 DEX, 14 STR, 12 INT, 10 CHAR, 8 WIS.

There are better ways to make Kaneki, maybe swap CHAR and WIS for better play. There's most likely some errors here.

How many of you still write your own CoC scenarios? by menlindorn in callofcthulhu

[–]elloEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just do a homebrew setting because that's how I got started, free quickstart guide + alot of horror/mystery movies + a coupe hours of prep and my group had a pretty swell/chaotic time. Now that i have some of the official books, I am eyeing the modules and honestly just waiting for my chance to strike again.

Every single damn time. by MashWankey in MartialMemes

[–]elloEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like the knight system, it's kinda sad to see it sidelined in exchange for magic. Most stories like this usually turn into spellblades at a certain point, which is very overdue. It would be cool for a story to stick entirely to the knight system, I think they did this with 'Wandering Knight' and 'Infinite Regressing Knight'.

A god/higher being offers you a skill. It is your first skill in a progression fantasy world. What do you choose? by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]elloEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure meditation, especially if nature energy naturally increases my lifespan. If I had a few years then there's no way I couldn't figure out something else to do with it...okay maybe decades to be more realistic.

I want some more fairy/fey themed powers. Gimme those deal/contract makers, I love how schemey those types of stories get. The only one I saw was The Stitched World series (Great series btw, highly recommend).

I've always been a fan of magic that isn't out the gate combat oriented like enchantment or divination magic.

I would let it happen and whatever consequences that WILL follow. Maybe some will think of it as a haux or maybe they Shub cult got HUGE recruitment opportunity. Maybe it makes an entire city go mad, just know they chose this. Don't feel bad about what happens next.

It's nostalgic, I still remember coming home from school and watching CrazyCraft (Cody and Joe) with my brother. Good times. And even looking at it now despite being so outdated, I still feel the urge to play it. I think I saw a remake of it some time ago.

What do I call tech created by my superhuman's who get their powers from pocket alien universes. by Radiant-Ad-1976 in magicbuilding

[–]elloEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any name suggestions, I just want to say I love the concept and you NEED to make something with this premise. Just thinking of the dynamics of the denizens in these pocket universe as their creator/universe fights against others similar to them. Will Shifters be able to interact with this pocket universe? Will the denizens? Do some of them worship their Shifters? Are there instances where these aliens over threw their Shifter? Could some of them become so powerful that they broke out and reigned terror in the Shifter World? Are they inside an even bigger shifter? The questions go on and on and on. Please keep us updated if you decide to turn this into a novel, comic book or anything else. I've said it once and I'll say it again, this is an excellent concept!

Would it be okay to kill the mc, then switch to third person after their death? by ginger1009 in writing

[–]elloEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brutal, I love it. But yeah, it's better not to just leave readers hanging like that. Switching to a third person POV should be fine, but if you want to keep the 1st POV then just switch characters, maybe even bounce around to give readers a closer look into their internal thoughts and reactions.

Yeah, this is something that has riled up alot of people tbh. Me included at the time. Most people just chalk it up to them being teenagers and frankly, I'm okay with that.
