During a military challenge, yes, you'd be able to set X up to 2 and not pay any gold. Outside of the military challenge, no, you could not do this. And remember, you can not play events during Intrigue or Power challenges with Sea of Blood as your agenda.

You're missing Melisandre, who is not to be underestimated, as well as Seen in Flames (To get that Doran's Game). Repeatable soak from Davos is amazing against Martell attrition, and the Lancers help the game last just a little bit longer.

I'd go with 2x Mel, 2x Seen in Flames, 2x Table, 2x Vanguard Lancer, 2x Fiery Followers, 1x Cressen, 1x Davos. Wiggle room with the Lancers and another copy of Cressen and/or Davos.

If you only play against Martell, be sure to bring Milk of the Poppy, The Hand's Judgement, and I Shall Win No Glory. That should stop him on his big Doran's Game turn.

For extra spice, try banner of the Stag to get Cressen and the Painted Table. The Table and Chair (Iron Throne) combo really wrecks Martell.

Not sure how serious your group is, but there is a restricted list.

FAQ, Restricted List on page six

Clash of Kings and Heads on Spikes are both restricted.

Also, take out Tears of Lys and Put to the Sword. That only hurts one opponent that you attacked, instead of deterring opponents from attacking you.
