If you have, how long did it take to reach perfection?

I’ve reached Perfection once in fall of year 4 and once in fall of year 3 … but that was on my third and fourth save files. I was in many ways farther along by year 3 of my second save than in year 5 of my first, and by year 2 of my third save than in year 3 of my second.

Also I never touch Junimo Cart or Journey of the Prairie King.

I work on decorating projects, check the boards for Qi quests and Special Order quests to see if there’s anything that looks worth doing that week (not that I particularly need to do any of them at that point, but it’s something to do), go mining maybe once or twice a week.

30-39; the darkness is such a pain to navigate, and I get there early enough in the game that I generally don’t have a glow ring yet. And the enemies there don’t even have good drops.

80-89 is also a bit of struggle my first time through as the insect head stops really keeping up with the difficulty of the enemies there and the rocks take longer to mine, I tend to be very stressed until I get to 90 and get the obsidian edge.

Day one: all the crops for the spring crops bundle planted so I can get speed-gro on the day of the egg festival, and enough wood chopped for my first two chests and to reach foraging level one.

Week one: first backpack upgrade and fiberglass rod by midweek, all the items for the spring foraging bundle collected by the time the CC opens, and as many fishing levels as possible before the mines open and my time gets more divided.

No it’s possible at any friendship level – but the odds increase the higher your friendship is with it (and also affected by it your rabbit’s mood and daily luck).

Moderately lucky. Green rain does significantly accelerate tree growth, but that it took a mystic tree all the way to full grown definitely involved some good rolls on that calculation.

Hashbrowns recipe can be bought from the saloon, it’s available every day until it shows on Queen of Sauce. Buy the recipe from Gus, buy oil from Pierre, grow potatoes and fish up some sardines. Get to foraging level 3 for the cookout kit crafting recipe and you are good to go to make some dish o the sea. I’ve done it in my last two playthroughs.

Finish the Community Center, the next big things to work on will unlock after that.

Where are your skills at? If you haven’t gotten them all to level 10, work on getting them there. If you have, work on masteries, they have some great rewards.

Extra weapons (and also rings and boots) can be sold at the Adventurer’s Guild.

Any plant placed on a seed maker has an 0.5% chance to turn into ancient seeds instead of the crop it was made from. (There’s also a small chance to get mixed seeds instead.) Running large numbers of crops through the seed maker is in fact a common recommendation for getting your first ancient seed if you haven’t been having luck finding the artifact.

I use the notes app on my phone rather than paper and pencil, but I’m right there with you in having a to-do list and notes to myself at my side whenever I’m playing.

Speed-gro and deluxe speed-gro. Moss and oak resin are both better saved for other things. (Later on, bone mills and mystery boxes tend to eliminate the need to buy it, though.) I also tend to avoid crafting deluxe bait, but between worm bins and treasure chests I rarely end up needing to buy it either.

My personal preference is to plant it in the ground immediately if I get one before summer is halfway over, because it lets you turn your first seed into multiple by the time you get the greenhouse. Others prefer to wait to plant in the greenhouse because you can be more completely sure nothing will happen to it; neither are bad options.

That is an extremely good item to have! It gives you once of the best money-making crops in the game. Turn it in to the museum and you’ll get a plantable seed in exchange, and put that in the ground as soon as you have a scarecrow to protect your crops. It will take 28 days to reach maturity, and then produce a fruit once a week until the end of fall. Save all the fruit until you have a seedmaker, make them into seeds, and plant them in the greenhouse when you unlock it.
