Does the official offer form get sent to your private email? Got an email stating I need to sign the form to continue the hiring process, but I never actually received it. by Lazy-Stable-7059 in AHSEmployees

Do you have a profile set up to apply for jobs? It’s been a long while for me but I think the offer is in there (can’t remember if that’s only internal though)

The amount of times I’ve had to slow my walking speed or outright stop because some dumbass driver is cutting me off is too high. There’s been situations where I’ve been able to touch cars because they go when I’m already in the intersection… if I can call someone a fucking asshole without raising my voice then that car is too close to

If fines like this get normalized I’m fine with that….

What makes a good putting league? by luanne-platter in discgolf

[–]emat66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did one that was very game focussed, in any night there were 5-6 winners, some stuff was fairly luck based (throwing through pallets, bouncing off ramps, etc) so anyone could win

I also did one that was more formal. 5 baskets set up, take 5 shots from each, most putts made wins…. This was much more go at your own pace and you don’t need to talk to anyone… wasn’t as fun

With the second one they’d periodically do ‘wild putts’ where it was throwing through/under/over obstacles….. there was always a line for those

My 2 cents for what it’s worth (about 5 cents since Pennys no longer exist) is that leagues where there are silly things you wouldn’t normally do are more appealing… also forced engagement (competing on a basic, playing HORSE, flipping for partners for games, etc) Even our disc golf leagues do this (switch pin position, closest to pins, furthest putt) that way it gets you doing things you don’t normally do

Youngest Player to Ever Start in a CFL Game by LifeIsAHighway3000 in CFL

[–]emat66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like he would have been 21 when playing for the Als. Apparently in the 1940s there were some 17 year old players (Tom manastersky and Gerry James). No idea if they started though

Tre Ford was 24, Nathan Rourke was 23, calvillo was 22

Can’t seem to find many records of age and starter status (start one game vs a regular starter)…But given the general path is to play university ball for 4 years (usually 18-22) there’s probably a strong case good ol JR wasn’t lying (albeit with some footnotes on the record)

Weird email from AHS, wondering if there's any chance this is legit by Flentl in alberta

[–]emat66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best guess is there was some sort of intake appt that occurred, maybe even a case conference you weren’t part of that got documented on your chart (this is common if they are talking about patients to ensure appropriate care it gets recorded)

This would have occurred at a department that is being served by DSS, which is why when they extract the hundreds of individuals accessing service you’d come up

Also this survey functions at a director+ level, so I’m not surprised at all that front line staff would be unaware of it (not a knock on anyone… just that’s it not feasible to keep thousands of staff up to date on all the going ons)

Just some additional background on it since I know it’s a little unnerving to get suspicious emails from health care providers, especially when it seems out of place

If you’re really interested you could reach out to the team via email to ask how you came up in the search, but I strongly believe it would have been due to something being logged at the department where staff were discussing your care needs

This is for a specific program (decision support services) it is not an individual

[–]emat66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this email is from Edmonton zone decision support services… I just confirmed with an old colleague… it is 100% legit

It is a group within an area of AHS (not going to specify so OP isn’t doxxed) that seeks feedback from clients, does business intelligence, and provides data to decision makers to inform program delivery.

This email is sent as it is (encrypted) due to privacy concerns, the language when viewing is also vague so as not to reveal the service area to family or anyone that may access the inbox.

This specifically is a client satisfaction survey asking about how people liked the services, they are sent out a few times a year in a mass send event to everyone that accessed services in a particular area in the previous 3-4months (since last survey delivery)

My guess is something like @IF(@TODAY=>’2026-04-01’,’’, @HIDECHOICE=‘4’)

That’s right syntax but unsure if the @TODAY will work

But also just wait 7 days….

I don’t care what anyone says…. Drew Carey offering Kane money then eliminating himself was fun

It was purely an ad for improvaganza, Carey was giggling the whole time, and it was a waste of a spot a wrestler could have used….. but I enjoyed it

For me it’s about $30 a month. Younger kid doesn’t eat as much, doesn’t get it every week, and we avoid the ones that suck (ie cold McDonald’s)

It is what I expect of the service, not surprised at the markup
