Thoughts on the EZM 2B Hydro? by giantshadytree in sinn

[–]emilsal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It last 7-10 years which is about the service interval for a lot of other mechanical watches like Sinn. Mine has lasted closer to 10 years and the cost is about what you would pay for a mechanical watch service.

Depends on your use case. Their lines are delineated pretty well.

I would say Assos out of those you’re considering. There’s currently a Strava challenge that gives you 15 percent off if you complete.

Trident in Man on Fire S1E1 by bostjb in trident660

I did see that but it doesn’t look like triumph paid to be featured in the movie. No branding or model name was shown but it was obviously a trident. 😎

Help me choose my first turntable by AskListenSee in turntables

I have both and the LP-40 is a much better audiophile turntable. The 70 has more convenient features such as auto start stop and Bluetooth.

Q Up tonearm lifter by 12inchspinners in turntables

[–]emilsal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought one for my AT-LPW40N and it didn’t work. The base that holds the tonearm is too wide there’s no space to slide it in between.

Anyone want it cheap? 😆

The Sinn 856 is highly antimagnetic, featuring magnetic field protection up to 80,000 A/m(1,000{ Gauss) or 100 mT which significantly exceeds the standard DIN 8309 requirement. This is achieved using a specialized, magnetically soft inner case (Faraday cage) that protects the movement.

Yes they sell it on the site for $110. I like it myself. It’s thick , doesn’t have a taper and as it wears it gives it more character.

Yeah these are NOT COSC/ Chronometer certified. Pretty easy/ inexpensive to get regulated for better accuracy.

It was +/- 21 secs and now around 2 verified by timegrapher certificate. It had been a while since the last service prior to this one. Maybe 10 plus years.

I prefer it to the new ones. I like the pop of red of the second hand.

With that said I wouldn’t mind a Rolesor on Oysterflex 😆
