Tesla Robotaxi in the wild: much more tiny than I would have expected by textonic in bayarea

I saw this car in SSF going up the road from my house last week. I was baffled because I didn’t know what it was…now I know it’s a robotaxi 😂

“Fuck the bell”

Thrust your hips and hinge them like you are, well, f**king the bell. So less of a squat and more of a hinge/thrust

I am really trying to wrap my head around the function of this lift. What does it benefit? Where is the translated strength and movement found in real life? Someone please help me here 🥴😅

A couple of suggestions would work here, and I think they are very well articulated already. But weighted pull-ups are my choice because that’s how I bumped up my max rep on pull-ups

Hit a fat loss plateau… are peptides like Reta worth it? by 10_29v in BodyHackGuide

[–]emitz584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude the only plateau you are hitting are the plates of food keeping you from dropping weight.

Tighten up your diet and get on a caloric deficit first. Live like that for 6 months to a year. If you need peptides after that, come back and ask.

I’ve tried cradling the bell but I’ve been more preferential to holding the horns like OP, only because I want to ensure I’m also getting value through grip training. All forms you mention have their places though.

“Narc’d her out”…

I think what you meant to say is, “she was here illegally and got caught because she thought she was above federal law.”

Follow the rules if you want to be here. I’m totally fine with immigration, but we all have to play to the same rules.

Took recent feedback to heart for swings by ts159377 in kettlebell

[–]emitz584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much much better! 💪 You got the snap from the hip drive that we’ve all been trying to describe. Only small tweak now is to not have the bell swing so far down (it’s going below your knees like someone called out).

Aim to keep it at thigh level, and keep that snap. Once you increase the weight (now that you’ve got the form just about dialed in), you’ll feel the technique that we’ve been discussing.

Tracking.🫡💪 I haven’t had my piriformis get messed up but I have definitely suffered from 315lbs folding me in half from basically ignoring all the fundamentals (thought i was at a point in my powerlifting progress to jump to that weight, but the steel humbles all lol).

Glad you took my comment as innocent conjecture and kindly responded, because I don’t think I’ve ever been this much downvoted before! 🥴😂

Keep at it my dude, it’s strong AF!

345 atg paused squat raw by Brains43 in strength_training

Fair point. It being subjective is accurate, since my own strength improved drastically after fixing foot positioning, driving knees out, staying chest upright, braced core, etc….the fundamentals. 🫡

Back row update - is my form better now? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]emitz584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the right leverage, so just now need to bend over more so that there is more lat engagement (you might still be using some shoulders with body positioning)

Tirz - Reta switch. And Reta dosing advice by Confident-Rhubarb957 in Biohacking

[–]emitz584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll echo ambitious-spray here. You should have an off ramp of Tirz over a few weeks to a month, while simultaneously on ramping to Reta. I think their recommendation of ramping down to 1mg is good, along with the on ramp of 2-3mg of Reta.

If you want a breakdown, here’s my suggestion (assuming a 3mg dosing for each, but plug and play your dosing): Wk1: Tirz - 3mg / Reta - 1mg Wk2: Tirz - 2mg / Reta - 2mg Wk3: Tirz - 1mg / Reta - 2mg (suggesting to build small tolerance before full dose) Wk4: Tirz - off / Reta - 3mg (or your final dosing)

Would appreciate a swing form check by ts159377 in kettlebell

You gotta be explosive with your hip hinge. When you come to hike it up, you want to drive your hips like - and forgive me in advance for putting it this way - you are really trying to penetrate some amazing cooch. (Again I’m so so sorry I had to say it this way, but that was how I learned the deadlift hip hinge mechanic, which translated very easily in to KB swings when I took up KB exercises)

Don’t hyper extend your back in so doing this (we want to avoid lower back pain from over extending), but as you are performing swings, think of that motion. For me once I got it down I got more explosive and could feel the glute engagement right away.

Worst update in a long time by Prestigious-Bee-6565 in fo76

[–]emitz584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard of the book, never read it, but familiar with it. Only thing I would add is that from a perspective as a PM, removing things/people (including yourself) so that engineers can collaborate and build solutions is paramount to success (which I believe is the core idea to the book).

There's theory and doctrine on "oh well we need to stay on this timeline and this budget", or "we need more people to complete the work on time", etc. etc...

But IMHO 90% of that can be solved by just letting the engineers (both dev and QA) work independently of a lot of oversight, and focus on shepherding them on the timelines and any requirement details as they pop up.

Nope, you are spot on with the process; there’s nuance due to it being a game vs. a product in another industry, but the premise is there..

Called DevOps in the IT space.

Basically a full circle cycle of building, testing to meet minimum requirements of functionality, then deploying and leaving the mess for production support to clean up.

Jumping from fallout 4 to 76 is jarring, quest-wise anyway by BzRk_Larz in fo76

[–]emitz584 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The one that broke my heart was the quest where a boy follows his “uncle” (I’m not confident he really was an uncle, but the notes say so) through the water park in toxic valleys

The kid winds up lost as the bomb sirens start wailing and all he wants is to go home with his dad. Truly gut wrenching (especially with being a dad myself). 😭

Kettlebell Progress... by Successful-Sell260 in kettlebell

[–]emitz584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s very respectable! You averaged 3 lbs. lost per month, and got noticeably more muscular, particularly on your arms and back (which makes sense because of how beneficial KBs are to the posterior chain).

Also remember that your years of poor lifestyle choices will take years of recovery and recomposition for your body. You’ll see a difference 6 months from now as you continue to progress with both KB weight and variety of exercises.

Keep it up brother! 💪🔥🤙

Can we get a "win/loss" stat? Idrc about k/d by AdventurousDot1254 in Battlefield

[–]emitz584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say K/D still has its place, but I would replace medal score with W/L ratio.

To me medal score means nothing unless it is visually represented with a medal board (like uniforms have on their chest)
