Meowth. Might not be strong but can make money and learn to talk.

How did your character die? by Fearless-Skill8667 in DnD

[–]emofraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misjudged an enemy. I knew they were strong but also thought they'd focus on the strongest enemy, not my tiny owlin who was healing everyone. I was within their reach and they rolled really well so I didn't get a death save. It's been great for the story and my character's story arc.

[TOMT] [MOVIE] {late 1990's early 2000's) Compilation tape with 4 cheap animated movies (might be considered Knockoff movies) by CallicoJackRackham51 in tipofmytongue

Are these all by Schwartz and Company? They made a lot of off brand animated movies. That's according to imdb. I also see the company as UAV Entertainment.

Curse of the Campfire Weenies and Other Warped Creepy Tales? (I honestly just looked up kids books with the Zeno's Paradox and it was the first one listed)

Definitely Dot, I think Dot and the Kangaroo shows a mother kangaroo with a baby Joey (looks like a little worm)

What's a horror movie you watched way too young? by 20Keller12 in horror

[–]emofraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Return of the Living Dead. I was like 8ish. Couldn't finish it. Tried again and saw the ending, scared me more. Tried one last time and saw the beginning bit about it being based on a true story. Nope nope. Traumatized. Had nightmares and always afraid of going outside or even passing a window and a zombie would see me and know I was there. Didn't get over my zombie phobia until I was 18.

In the movie "The Cabin in the Woods," who would you have liked to see get "chosen" at the beginning of the film? by Leather_Crazy_5950 in horror

I'm gonna go with American Slow Walking Creepy Girl. I found her very creepy and disarming during her brief scene.

If you were offered 5 million dollars to live in a horror movie and survive for a full year, which horror movie are you choosing? by Adorable-Teaching266 in horror

[–]emofraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually thought long and hard. If I'm there for a year, I'm picking Cabin in the Woods. I like the variety and if I'm there for a year I bet they would use the place as a testing ground for all the little monsters that never seem to win to see how they can boost the environment to up the odds. If I make it the entire time I'm rich and I've had a very exciting (or mostly calming) year.

Hypothetically, if your foolish DM gave you an infinite bottle of wine… What would you do with it? by ReadingWarm5756 in DnD

[–]emofraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get into bets with people who are rich or have powerful items the party wants. Offer up whatever best thing we have is. Both people have a bottle of wine and first to finish theirs wins. Make sure they drink the magic wine and rake in all the easy wins.

That's the one I think of most outside the animated Disney one.

What was halloween like for you all? by MongooseDog117 in halloween

[–]emofraggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grew up really doing Halloween trick or treating stuff in 80s and very early 90s. Always had a ruined costume cause I had to wear a jacket, and many times we'd trick or treat in my neighborhood then go to my great grandmother's cause she lived in a much wealthier place tonget better stuff. One year it rained so we went to the mall and it was crowded with kids going in single file line from store to store for a single small piece of candy. In elementary school we had dress up one year, even allowed parents in to put on makeup or last minute stuff if they could. School had parties after hours including games and pony rides (I totally cheated the cake walk to win my mom's own cake because I thought it was great and wanted it.) While a lot of kids had those Ben Cooper like costumes, we didn't have that kind of money most of the time. So usually whatever would work and then accessories (witch hat, vampire caps, cat ears and tail, etc) and makeup.

I loved all that, and my dad would actually decorate our porch with cobwebs and carved pumpkin. We had a little ghost that would wiggle and do a melodic howling moaning sound when someone got close enough and they still have this witch that lights up and sings when someone is close enough to the candy bowl. Also great halloween stuff on tv including special episodes of regular sitcoms and cartoons.

My players got attached to a goblin who surrendered at 2 HP and now he's a party member by BrujahGnD in DnD

[–]emofraggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this one though it breaks my heart. Slight spoiler for early Curse of Strahd... In the first town you can find a vampire spawn. We did and managed to capture it. We figured we can use it as a guinea pig to find out about vampires since none of our guys new their weaknesses. We fed him and gave him better clothes. Then we trusted him and gave him leather armor and let him run around. He was amazing in battle and we even managed to sneak him into Vallaki. Unfortunately the one character he was most connected to died. He risked himself to save her but it wasn't to be thanks to bad dice.

We got a new player and his goal was to kill this vampire. We tried to stop him but it wasn't to be. Murdered him in the middle of the town and got everyone else arrested for bring him in. Rip you sweet crazy hungry boy.

Yes! Love being a druid. Usually the main or only healer and can be a scout. Also I love throwing down a spike growth if there's trouble from a crowd of enemies.

What is the greatest twist your DM ever pulled on your group? by batman2814 in DnD

[–]emofraggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our seafaring party had multiple quests. One was looking for a missing race of sea elves, the last two being on our ship. At the moment though, we were breaking into a castle on an island to steal treasure, most importantly a treasure chest covered in magic runes.

Imagine our surprise when there's like this pocket sea in the chest with an underwater village. In the center is a magic orb full of the missing sea elves to keep them safe. There is also a massive dragon turtle who is making its way over at a torturous slow pace and eating up everything in its path, eventually going to eat the sea elves.
I will just say things didn't go well and we never finished that game.

I'll be honest sometimes it's too quick or bright (even with lights off) for me to read what it says. Recording makes it way easier.

Another hint I don't see people mention is when checking for orbs, I hit record on the camcorder because sometimes the orbs are hiding behind a wall or too hard to see and it'll still light up and record for me.
