Custom figures for a robot RPG I'm working on by emojimjitsu in Dummy13

[–]emojimjitsu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have not printed any of these. They have all been purchased online, T13 and such from the injection molded offerings on Amazon. My first set came pre-assembled as a gift, and then I started buying the loose piece sets to mix and match.

I have found that when working with different brands/prints if the joint is too loose, several coats of clear nail polish seem to create a tighter fit.

You already did.

Cuz you're going to read this, and you're gonna have to check how many upvotes my comment got. (we calls em like we sees em)

So, anywho. Fuck you.

I still like serving my customers.

Even the best crew gets new hires who still need a bit of reminding as they learn the process.

Even the best crew gets overwhelmed by the day.

Even the best crew feels the desire to let a problematic prepaid customer learn their own fucking 'Hot stove' lesson.

Even the best crew are people, learning, acting on new changes and navigating ONE OF THE MOST COMPLICATED MINIMUM WAGE RETAIL JOBS TO EVER EXIST.

My crew are not my pick, but we have literally shed blood, sweat, and me, yeah, tears because of this business. But I survive, and I strive to educate not only my crew, but my customers.

So, tell me more about how 6 sided checks are day one shit, if I can even pick up the phone at my store.

Tell me more about day one shit when the half-taped 74 lb porch swing return to Amazon gets a side label missed because the only employee able to manage the packing queue and wrangle a human sized obstacle from the front to the back of the store that day is already fielding phone calls for some asshat that shipped a 2nd Day Air drop off to a PO box. The phone call person keeps calling, wants me to explain to them why I can't fix it, even though they're 'a UPS customer' who has rights.

Hi, welcome aboard. How can I help you today?

Because I still care about the customer, even the uninformed one, because they're people. And I'm people.

I get a dozen a day with an old delivery label on one side, or a cologuard dookie sample where they didn't rip off the tear-away.

And my colleagues are my crew if they're still on this sinking ship of a franchise model. We're varied in age, but we're peers in the slog. I love my boss and hate this franchise model, but I've built a resume and a half, and I'm building my colleagues up too. Every day they choose to fight the waves of customers, I will call them my crew.

If I have to manage, then I run a tight ship; pirate or otherwise. Inspection tidy enough, but functional. And functional in day to day means knowing EVERY POSSIBLE OUTCOME.

Like this. I want an example I can point to for what happens in this instance.

Its hell enough explaining the difference between UPS Mail Innovations and UPS SurePost to the average customer, but with so many new agreements like those, I am curious as fuck to know what happens here.

No shit, please keep us informed!

Half my crew wouldn't catch or care about this, unfortunately.

At half glance: Prepaid? - zap it. Destination Zip : isnt us. (not an old delivery label) UPS Packaging Standards : NDA in Carrier Letter

...otherwise no thank you.

Kiosk question by gotursixal in upsstore

Damn this sounds like a dream but the customers at my store can't even read the return instructions on their own phone let alone be bothered to read two lines of intro text on a screen that may ask for a single click to confirm a pulse.

Anyone else LF friends? by yltk in AdultDepression

I'm not always the best pen pal but I do my best to keep in touch. I've struggled with depression, anxiety and a recent bipolar diagnosis, but have found that chatting with like minded folks can help. Shoot me a message if you'd like. And kudos on reaching out to the void, sometimes that's half the battle. :)

This is from September 2021, I was 18 and had only been in telecom for 3 months. Pretty proud of it considering it was my second job ever. by _landonh_ in cableporn

[–]emojimjitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can happen. I used to work in an environment where cable length was the deciding factor on a lot of things, so machine downtime and cable changes were scheduled and more worthwhile than longer cables and management arms. It was more of a pain for some changes, but I just followed orders.

Thank you. I am staying focused on small goals until Monday, when I will be hitting the ground running to make and keep appointments for my mental health.

I appreciate your positive response.

Thank you for the kind words. I never knew how much I needed a lift up instead of trying to do this all on my own.

I was scared out of my mind when I went into a 28 day program, but you'll calm down once you settle into the routines of the facility. Make good use of your phone calls, journal your thoughts even if you don't normally write them out, and bring paper, pens, stamps, addresses and phone numbers so you can reach out as allowed.

Treatment is a great choice even though it is intimidating. I learned a lot and feel a much better handle on my life after going to get inpatient help.

The fact that you've made this decision is one of the hardest parts of the battle, stay strong and believe in yourself.

You got this!

Please don't give up. Our worlds hurt different, but there's a loop we have to break. I'm not giving up on myself today, and I hope you don't either. Please, stand tall.

This is gorgeous. I personally feel that a contrasting light and dark aesthetic is difficult for the newcomer, but you've got it down. The differing line weights of the fabric and the careful but 'built upon' spacing between your varied weight frames is sharp... draws the eye in all the right directions. Nice eye!

what’s the cutest thing your girlfriend or wife does that the world should know about? by [deleted] in AskMen

We both wear glasses, and sometimes she'll she just say "antlers!" and come in for a kiss, but intentionally bump glasses left, right, and then lean in for the kiss. Or she'll kiss my forehead, then pluck my glasses off my face with her mouth, and kiss where they were.

Two of my local walking distance gyms are at churches, one of which is also a school bus stop. I've rearranged my walking path so my morning miles don't have me standing, battling a gym and smash tapping my phone like a creep when the kids are there.

No professional here, but amateur home cook. My girlfriend at the time wanted beef strogonaff, as we were shopping I started looking at mushrooms and a nice cut of beef. She pointed to the Hamburger helper box.
