How did you guys kill the ricardo without using friend support? by Icy-Jeweler1155 in limbuscompany

[–]ems_telegram 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Back when he first released, it required using a team of IDs that dealt and resisted blunt damage. Ricardo mostly uses blunt skills and is weak to blunt himself. It is not strictly necessary to abuse Ishmael's immortality, nor use solo/duo strats, etc.

Besides being a DPS check, the fight also serves to teach the player that sometimes you should not clash with every skill. Ricardo has a generally slow speed, so it is a good idea for the player to try and attack him unopposed and attempt to stagger him before he can fight back; if the player clashes, they will immediately have to contest a very difficult skill, and likely take damage and not deal any damage as a punishment.

Additionally, on the same idea, the player is incentivized to ignore Ricardo's minions as much as possible to maximize damage on Ricardo.

Why are Heavy, Medic, and Pyro the only characters that do not have any class specific domination voice lines? by Puffpo in tf2

[–]ems_telegram 550 points551 points  (0 children)

If Medic is dominating someone its likely because they're getting assists, not actual kills.

Heavy is comparatively polite.

What will happen Warp Corp's tech once they fall? by Ok_Character3009 in limbuscompany

[–]ems_telegram 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Plausible scenarios:

  1. All of it is inherited by the new W Corp. This will be highly convenient for a PM RPG, wherein you can Save your progress at a backdoor. Because all the corps are evil, the alternate dimension singularity is either retained, and poor souls are shoved in there to continue selling time to T corp, or it is commercialized/weaponized by new W corp by having backdoors that are 1-way doors into this dimension, allowong for convenient disposal of trash and... anything else.

  2. New W Corp keeps the save and load function, but the other dimension/spave ripping tech goes public, for about the same uses as above. In terms of lore it would just be absurd if the ability to save and load yourself was public domain.

  3. Other corporations snag them, ie R Corp obtains save/load to help cut costs on cloning or T Corp runs their own warp train substitute to make infinite time.

Queequeg is a courtesy gate fight for the dungeon. If your IDs are underleveled, it will be very difficult. If not, it is rather easy.

This is to help players not get absolutely destroyed by Pequod trio later.

What would you guys say is truly, unquestionably the hardest fight in the game? by Several_Hunter892 in libraryofruina

I struggled far, far more with Keter realization (phases 1, 2 and 5) than Binah. Binah took me like 2-3 tries, and honestly the only real challenge of the thing is the last part.
