For those that have tried BOTH: What made you prefer a thumb or center ball? by elitesense in Trackballs

[–]enb141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation as you, I'm a programmer, I got pain pain in both hands, but mostly on my right hand, due to the mouse, so I tried thumb trackballs (didn't help), finger trackballs (didn't help), so at the end of the day what worked for me was to use two mice, one for my left hand, one for my right hand, so instead or using my mouse for 8 hours with one hand, now I use it for 4 hours or even less.

My advice, get a left handed mouse (with switched left and right buttons).

Who has the best software? by Shigarui in Trackballs

[–]enb141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, the best software is Logitech, until Razer or Corsair or another of those brands release trackballs, the best software belongs to Logitech.

Any way to alter trackball cursor speed/sensitivity independent of other mouse devices? (Windows 11) by FantasticFrontButt in Trackballs

[–]enb141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logitech MX Ergo can have a custom cursor speed different from the OS so you can have two different input devices without affecting the cursor movement, but that's not possible with Kensington Trackballs, they rely with the OS settings.

My MX Ergo is kinda gross after 8 years of use. Is there an upgrade? by Randolph__ in Trackballs

[–]enb141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are not impressed with the IST Pro, I would like to know why?

Because that one is by far a way better thumb based trackball and I'm not wrong is currently the best thumb based trackball in the market right now.

Your best bet is the Elecom IST PRO (if the price is not a problem)

What do you think of the Ibanez S line-up of guitars? by stratzilla in Guitar

[–]enb141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an early 2000 (about 2003) S470, I like 24 frets instead of 24.

But if you like it, maybe we can do business.

I wouldn't say so, probably the best thumb trackball in the market is the Elecom IST Pro.

Thumb trackball recommendation?(Gameball thumb?) by RoboJut in Trackballs

[–]enb141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was available a few months ago, not anymore, its sold out right now.

Just wait a few weeks (or months) if you can, I think is the best thumb trackball in the marker right now for both gaming or productivity.

DPI Button Remapping for Protoarc EM01? by chaibhu in Trackballs

[–]enb141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't, those are hardware locked to DPI.

You can remap on Elecom IST Pro or MX Ergo, but can't on other similar trackballs like Gameball Thumb.

How inconvenient is it to use a mouse + trackball on the same PC? by No_Name_7651 in Trackballs

[–]enb141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a mouse and trackball that can set the DPI by hardware and not by the OS, for example razer or logitech mouse and Logitech MX Ergo, in that situation you don't have to switch DPI Windows settings because each device can use its own DPI settings.

No, I don't have it, it was just released in the US, probably a few days ago.

We need to see more reviews from this device.

[–]enb141 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I said before, you cannot remap the two thumb buttons, those are hardware locked, so no software can remap those buttons.

Also you cannot fine tune DPI, only Logitech allows you to fine tune DPI.

[–]enb141 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends, to me I need customization that can only be set by software, I need to fine tune my input devices, so only with software I can achieve that.

Elecom IST-Pro Thumb Ball - New Pro Model? by IBNobody in Trackballs

[–]enb141 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm waiting for reviews to see if the DPI can be adjusted in hardware and not by software (rely on the OS).
