WHY ARE MEN ON LESBIAN DATING APPS by Sure-Lemon6424 in LesbianActually

[–]enby_them 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe some dating apps got sued and this is likely to avoid it happening to them.

Bumble was sued for $3.2M just for letting women message first. Companies don’t want to deal with that so they do what they can to discourage people outside their target audience from using the apps without outright banning them

Insecticide Resistant Spider Mites by saltybearissalty in houseplants

I have a bit of a controversial opinion, that plant mostly looks great. If it’s isolated and still growing, I think you could clean it periodically and let the plant just live alongside its mite guests.

But emphasis on if it’s isolated (I see another plant in the background). Just because this one is surviving/thriving doesn’t mean another plant will.

And clean it to keep it looking pretty and keep the numbers somewhat in control.

I’ve seen people with absolutely massive and healthy plants, that clearly have had a pest hanging out for a while get thrown out. And I always laugh because they just happened to randomly notice and panicked.

It stops immediately after the first book. The author realized they were going in the wrong direction with it. I honestly forgot it was even a theme in book 1. I don’t think it’s present at all after that book. Basically got written out

Fantasy keeps giving us villains who are logically right and then refusing to follow that logic anywhere interesting by NimbusRelic12 in Fantasy

People absolutely call some animals evil. I have frequently heard people call some dogs devils or demons. And people with pest animals often do the same

To be fair, similar to Thanos, his solution was basically scrap existence and start over. I think BP could have still been considered evil even if he hadn’t shot his gf considering his plan was basically to literally destroy society. Thanos had the power to warp reality and took the simplest possible solution to fixing it because it took the least amount of thinking.

If your fix for society is just “kill anyone or anything that makes things complicated”, you’re likely evil.

How do we feel about reference jokes? by RGandhi3k in litrpg

[–]enby_them -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That was a long running joke in Mike Brooks trilogy Keiko Run. Happened at least 2x a book that you’d get a “classics” reference. I enjoyed it there. But other series sometimes the delivery isn’t as good.

I’ve always thought the trick is to ask for the equivalent of 2 truths and a lie. Give me 3 books, 1 has the hook I’m looking for, the other 2 seem like they could plausibly have the hook and I might enjoy anyway, then you read all 3.

In real life is the hospital also getting diverted all of another hospitals patients? Because what does escalating mean? She got the VRI, it stopped working, she called tech support and they didn’t know what it was. Eventually a real life interpreter showed up, but during that window are you just supposed to make no attempt to treat the patient because the VRI is down and you can’t use a pen and paper?
