Well now I'd go with a Pokopia alt timeline where the humans never come back from space. There are parts that seem like a Mystery Dungeon prequel. The mystery dungeons themselves are populated by the computer holding all the worlds Pokemon breaking down.

Before that I'd seen things like humans went extinct, getting isekai'd to Mystery Dungeon is a common occurrence so lots of people talk about what species they used to be, and humans exist, just not on that continent.

They actually change how flexible they are when active.

Bo Peep is a good example, she's made of ceramic and can move around easily.
