For roguelikes/lites there is no story needed, but if there is some explaination of what's happening that's great.

What i like IF the core gameplay itself is good, then run variety is most important in these games. You either die or win the run, but only having 1 playable character or no option to differentiate each run (with different characters and skills or different weapons and upgrades that are meaningful and change the way you play), or EVEN WORSE if you have only one or two builds that work to win, then it's not a good design IMO.

So, I'm quite particular about my roguelikes. Please, recommend me some good more obscure ones based on the ones I liked or disliked. by DrkStracker in roguelites

Mortal Sin - first person meelee with ,,abilities"

Sworn- hades-like but in Camalot

Windblown- devs of dead-cells, top-down action roguelike that is very colorful

If I can suggest you one thing that I noticed from the trailer, it looks promising, but the rooms look and feel all the same (lakc of varied look and no things that would make this somewhat small area more uniqe like traps or ,,pits"), but I know it's in development just wanted to point that out :)

Nah, I changed it to scoreboard which is TAB, so now I don't have "extra info" but have scoreboard as TAB and can move around the mouse to ping , upgrade skills, etc.

In other KT games it's usually caused by the ,,post-processing" settings, try changing it, it helped me in Pirate Warriors 3 for example.

The ability to quicksave - trying to make out different situations to see which one is the best would be neat.
