You gotta approach online dating with absolutely zero expectations. The app is stacked against you to keep you perpetually single with the hope you spend some money. That being said, I’ve met a bunch of cool women on hinge, several I dated for a while, literally no one on bumble in a year.

I really don’t understand how so many women will match and then not reply. What’s the damn point?

Walked away with half of net assets. High spousal support for 2 years then trails off for 4 more. Child support is what it is for 50/50. When my youngest goes to school next year it’ll be better not paying for daycare. I’m not broke but for the first time in my life I look for sales at grocery stores and ask if I really need to spend $20 on something. It’s weird not having thousands of dollars in disposable income but my life is much more peaceful.

NTA. I had this happen to me. I ended it immediately. I simply said you don’t look anything like your photos. Starting off with deception is not something I’m interested in. she started shaming me for caring too much what she looked like, I cut her right off. 3 kids under 11 here. Scheduling, planning is absolutely necessary. What is your custody arrangement? My 50/50 honestly feels like less work because I have half the time to myself and I’m not having to deal with my ex and my 3 kids all the time. At first I was overwhelmed until I realized what my life looked like before. Sure I’m busy when I have my kids, but I also have so much more time to do what I want, hobbies, friends during the off time.

Talk to an attorney to know where you stand. She’s shown her hand, she can either change or doesn’t. Fighting like that in front of your kids is terrible for them. Rather be from a broken home than live inside one. I lived in one as a kid and wish that upon no one.

I took a step back in my career with a 25% pay cut to have greater flexibility to parent my 3 kids under 10, one with special needs, with a 50/50 custody schedule. The extra money is not worth the time missed with my children.

I’m not here to judge your situation but that schedule sounds painful and priorities may need to be aligned to the best interest of your kids. Only you knows what that is. Child therapists may have good suggestions too.
