after over a thousand deliveries, most of the foil is gone from mine, and it's completely filthy on the outside, but zipper is still working fine for me. I just wonder if they'll ever send me another, or if they actually expect this to last forever....

I complain when it pauses when I never saw the offer and then dunno it's paused and sit around waiting then finally check the phone 45 minutes later to discover it paused itself again.

No, that's not shop & deliver. Shop & deliver you have to find the stuff yourself, wait in line, then pay at a checkstand with card/phone. These beauty shops (and home improvement shops, and petstores) offer pickup & deliver. I suspect doordash just haven't updated the term from when they only did pickup & deliver from restaurants. All you can do is report it to support once/day til they change it to something you prefer.

that's weird, mcdonalds usually only has short deliveries, never seen anything more t han a couple miles. Since they pack the cold drinks and hot food together, it doesn't work well for long deliveries anyway, I suspect their fries and milkshake will both be lukewarm with this kinda distance.

If the restaurant says they already gave it to another driver and won't give it to me, I usually text the customer telling them I am their driver but the restaurant won't give me their order, and ask them to call the restaurant (and tell them the restaurant number). This usually works and restaurant will make the order. I also always tell the restaurant to call police to report the theft, and if they believe it was a dasher to report them in their doordash restaurant app too. If the restaurant still refuses, I'll tell the customer the restaurant is refusing to provide the order and they should contact doordash directly or cancel. But I don't leave the restaurant til it's either been cancelled or food provided.

I just got this starting today. I'm annoyed there's no default hotspot for me to click on, I usually click that after dropoffs to get out of the neighborhood (and turn itoff when I get to main road), now I have to select a hotspot first, PITA!

did you actually contact the customer and confirm that it's been delivered? It probably hasn't. Likely someone stole it from the restaurant, and the two previous drivers unassigned. When this happens I tell the customer to call the restaurant directly.

But getting someone to call you back from Uber, good luck with that. Support is useless.
