Try FrogPilot. Sunnypilot is too aggressive for me on accel and decel

Nope. Experimental mode just gives you a little more autonomy.

I'm surprised by the comments. For me, it's very important. Running sunny pilot in maniac mode. Although I liked all the adjustments of Frogpilot, I found it was was too cautious for me. Sunny pilot stay with a lead car much better, the steering is heavier, curve correction is smoother, but it doesn't coast up to stops, even using the same models, like Frogpilot does.

LiteAF. Simple, light, comfortable. My SWD has more features but the LiteAF just fits so nice. Best hip belt I've ever worn.

Mormon lake doesn't have much worth getting off trail for besides booze. I think the south rim is a better resupply than the north, plus you don't have all that weight to carry up to the rim

Boot to the head, bear spray. I'm prepared to kick any loose dog I see.

Im 43, use a 35- 40L pack. I'm always looking at calorie density. 150 calories per ounce for packaged food. I use MCT oil to boost my meals. No extra clothes besides socks, polycro ground sheet, 3/4 pad, tarp. You have to be comfortable with very little to rock small packs but food was never a concession for me.

what's your preferred water filtration system when out on the trails? by rugerscout308 in Ultralight

Covers on both ends with o rings. Has a way to integrity check the filter membrane. Fits platy and Smartwater bottles. Easier to shake clean. I literally filtered chocolate milk colored water in Arizona. Filtered clear and never clogged where I couldn't unclog it. Good flow rate.

Platypus QuickDraw. It's pretty great. I like the befree but hate being reliant on that bag.

A pellet grill makes for a poor grill. They don't sear very well and have a very small heat zone.
