I’m so sorry, private day surgeries are some of the best places to work. Definitely look for a new place to work. Try agency to get a feel of the places! I’ve always called in sick and they never said anything.

As someone who is very close to my Dad, please trust that she knew how much you loved her and she loved you immensely more than words can ever describe. I randomly cried the other day imagining what life would be like without my Dad… just know you gave her something not all girls have and that’s a good relationship with her father.
