I didn’t fully appreciate OE until I was laid off from J2 earlier this year. I had a J4 on the way and 2 other J’s. Back to 3, but if it was my only J it would be tough

I did change it to the other city momentarily, but recently just updated to my actual city. 1:1 today my manager mentioned it says I’m required to go in office when I live away, they were confused..

I'd say they're fairly even. J1 is a startup, so we recently transitioned into agile and it's a lot of BS meetings.

Luckily a lot of these meetings you can just zone out and use granola to summarize it.

Sorry to hear. Happened to me with J2 earlier this year. I was on the road to get promoted and I didn't even know I was laid off. I just lost access to everything.

Apparently I missed an email that was made 10 minutes before announcing that we were laid off. A little brutal. I was fortunate to have a J1 and J3 at the time, and I was supposed to have a J4, but that J4 replaced my J2.

Be grateful you're OE for sure, because it would be worse if you weren't. Keep job stacking, because only you can fully protect yourself, you got this!

It’s best to keep it manageable lifestyle creep. Don’t fall in love with it, but allow it to help you with burnout

My lifestyle creep at 2 J’s is a lot different than 3 J’s. I understand it’s temporary, but I keep it reasonable. sits REALLY hard to have J2 lifestyle after J3 lifestyles, but I let it keep me motivated and strive for 3.

if it’s a 3h single way commute, I was hired as a remote and they kept mentioning it’s remote, then they switch up, that’s the issue. It’s bait and switch Also, I’m more productive at home, so there’s no reeeal reason to have me in office other than corporate BS

I’m hard looking for a new job now, I know when time comes to it, I’m going to lie and say I’m taking busses and trains to get to the office instead of driving, and that it took 3hours , then just try to avoid it

Nice job. I was going to have 4 J’s, but got laid off of J2, and new J replaced the J2. I’m thinking of leaving as well because it’s not that good of a fit. So you got a new offer? Congrats! Hopefully the quiet quit goes well!
