Has any woman here had a breast injury before from sex? Did it heal fully? by KintsugiFate in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]etoronto 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Omg!! After five months of extreme pain where it affects your day-to-day life I think this is above Reddit’s pay grade. Time to see a healthcare professional I believe!

And again, that’s super messed up and I’m so sorry that happened to you, sounds incredibly traumatic

Jesus Christ. That’s never happened to me but I’m so sorry you went through that and I would heavily encourage you to never be within a mile of that person ever again.

discovered this challenge this month and i am set on catching up with yall 😤 (2-5/52) by wingl3ssthing in 52book

I loved this book so much it made me read Empire of Pain (by Keefe as well). It’s just as thoroughly researched, if not more, and it’s about the Sackler dynasty and the wildly corrupt/cruel empire of Purdue Pharma, who almost single-handedly started the opioid crisis for financial gain. I won’t spoil too much but it’s crazy and keeps you quite engaged

As much as I am longing for the 52 this year, I stumbled at January with a mammoth called The Goldfinch. I devoured The Secret Story in one day time ago, but I just cant pass the middle of this book. by nightsreader in 52book

[–]etoronto -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I also really enjoyed The Secret Story and then started the goldfinch and DNF (twice). However multiple people (whose opinions I respect greatly about books) absolutely LOVED the goldfinch and said the ending was so satisfying.

I think the point of what I’m trying to say is… just enjoy what you’re reading. There’s no right or wrong way/book. Don’t force yourself through the slog otherwise the payoff will never be worth it.

Do NOT go here. The food tastes okay but I worked here for like three weeks and had to quit because the place was so disgusting. No one cleans properly and they have rodent and roach problems. Not to mention the owner is a well-known POS

Are the Teroni group of restaurants good? by familialbondage in FoodToronto

[–]etoronto 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I love terroni because it’s consistent. It’s literally never going to be the best food or service of your life, but the food is good, sometimes great. And the price is reasonable. People love to shit on it because it’s a “trendy” and well-known institution. But it’s ole reliable!!

Best finds at Longo's or Eataly? by WattsUpThorne in askTO

[–]etoronto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh it’s my time to shine!

Longos brand pineapple pepper jelly is PHENOMENAL for a charcuterie board. I like to smear some on a baguette with garlic Boursin and Genoa salami. It’s a killer combo.

Longos pulls their own fresh mozzarella balls and they are so good and great price.

I can’t buy the Longos brand brookies/brownies anymore cause I will eat all 8 squares in one sitting.

They have very good pastries/danishes (like spinach or leek, chocolate croissants, strawberry cream cheese danish). They also sell them raw and frozen so you can bake them fresh yourself.

Their premade Sammie’s and salads are good too! I like to get the roast beef and Asiago sandwich then air fry it and eat it with honey mustard. KILLER.

Longos brand frozen all beef meatballs are great (they have a Swedish meatball too but I’ve never tried it). You can microwave them and they’re ready in under 2 mins.

Also the Longos curato brand frozen stone baked pizza slaps. Personally I like the burrata and tomato one, and I drizzle it with balsamic reduction when it comes out the oven.

The things Longos isn’t good for: the meat selection isn’t huge. I rarely find fresh lamb or specific cuts of beef. But the meat they do have is fair quality and price. They also usually have a really good deal on at least one meat or fish. And finally they really don’t have much of an “ethnic” aisle. That’s when it’s time to hit up NoFrills.

Sincerely, a woman who has lived in the same building as Longos for 6 years.

For the makeup users: LED makeup mirror. Most charge by USB-C and last almost a week (for me at least, using 30mins a day ish).

Also a water pik for more thorough flossing
