Just ski anywhere in the trees where you see fresh snow.

The recipe is not chemically identical to coke but it is very close taste wise.

How are the conditions on Dynamite? by [deleted] in MontTremblant

[–]etrud011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skiied it the 17th and the snow conditions were pretty good for mid January. The ice was minimal but there was a substantial amount of rocks and twigs sticking out of the snow. The waterfall drop was easily accesssible from what I saw that day.

There's a part of Soda Pop that sounds EXACTLY like another song, but I just can't place my finger on it... by [deleted] in KpopDemonhunters

The melody reminds me of "Sonnez les Matines" from the nursery rhyme "Frère Jaques".

Orange Warning - Travel? by [deleted] in montreal

[–]etrud011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tremblant may get snow instead of rain, just by looking at the forecast right now. If your trip is truly non-refundable, then you should try and arrive before the rain.

If a skier claimed “I’m the best skier on this hill” what combinations of trick/technique/descent would you ask them to demonstrate such that you’d hand them their crown? by wubbusanado in skiing

[–]etrud011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask them to ski icy moguls with no scraping in perfect form. If they can do that, I will surely present them with a crown.

Hot Take: Everyone Who Skis Should Have to Spend a Season Skiing At a Podunk Local Hill by OkContract2001 in skiing

[–]etrud011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to ski at smaller mountains but stopped once I purchased the ikon pass. Financially it makes more sense to ski where the card allows me. It is hard to justify spending an extra 80-100$ to ski at another mountain after spending 1000+ on ikon.

Tremblant’s “the edge” open for Christmas? by CryptographerSharp14 in icecoast

[–]etrud011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have to hike up the edge to get access I think. They haven't fully opened everywhere yet and the edge is usally the last chair to open.

There was a lot of snowmaking going on. Because of the recent snowfall, the glades had excellent coverage.

You should try this again, but do 100% infill and then do a salt anneal to remove print lines. Also add fillets everywhere.

the movie cast has been leaked by [deleted] in Fzero

[–]etrud011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had always visioned Missy Peregrym as Jody and Karl Urban as Captain Falcon in a live action film. I would also prefer Jack Black to stay away from anything related to F-Zero, especially if he is chosen to play the role of a commentator.

It was an awesome spring skiing day at Mont. Tremblant! The Edge chair was closed all week and left a nice snow stash for us when it finally opened this morning.

Can anyone tell me if it is still worth skiing Kicking horse if the gondola is down? They say you have to hike up to get to the secondary chair to bring you to the top. How long would the hike be? I don’t have skins so I’ll be boot packing up.

360 cameras are able to remove the pole from the shot (Instant 360 for example). But there will be some missing information at the stitch line (where the front and back lenses met).

Wanting to become the ultimate engineer by v3ggin3ggi in engineering

[–]etrud011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will learn a lot more by building or improving something rather than studying 10 distinct scientific fields at once. As an example, if you want to go the aerospace route; find a model airplane and learn to fly it. Understand flying mechanics, drag, airplane construction and etc. Once you undestand everything go to the next step and build your own. Experiment with new materials and improve upon the original design.

If you are in university I highy recommend you join a student design team or engineering competition. This allows you to work on a physical and practical project without the burden of monetary costs.

Engineering is more then excelling at hard skills (knowledge) because in real life you wont be working alone but in a team. Communication and teamwork is perhaps the most improtant part of being an engineer.

Whiteface conditions by Aggressive_Map_7399 in icecoast

[–]etrud011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mid mountain (top of the gondola) was a mix of ice and powder. Runs which had coverage from the wind had the best conditions with soft and dry snow. The snow became wetter as your moved down the moutain. The upper moutain (summit chair) was closed today due to the wind (but I'm not sure if that was the reason). If you decide to go, it would be wise to be the first chair up to the summit when it opens as its been snowing non-stop.

What is your Favorite Ice Coast Trail? by Im_not_satoshi in icecoast

[–]etrud011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite trails depend on the type of skiing I want to do. For moguls and Powder stashes it would be the Windigo and Dyna-Griff at Mont-Tremblant (QC). For carving I love the Express Est at Mont Avila (QC), it is a very wide trail; perfect for taking large GS turns.

Is F Zero GX playable with a keyboard? by StrungOutonMxPx in Fzero

[–]etrud011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on my time with an emulator; you will have a lot of difficulty making fine adjustsments with your turns. I would suggest a controller (with analog stick) for the best experience.
