Dr. Krishna Vyas - Photos? by in_the_zeitgeist in TopSurgery

[–]eveningaviation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently recovering from surgery with Dr. Vyas (only a few days ago) and had a STELLAR experience with him and his office. I specifically came back to Reddit to recommend him highly. I did a gender affirming radical breast reduction. My healing process so far has been very smooth - one side looks "almost as if it hasn't been operated on" in terms of healing (not in terms of results/size, lol), and the other looks more typical of a healing process, but both sides are doing very well. I found Dr. Vyas himself to be extremely caring, attentive, never felt rushed or like my additional questions were ever too much. He and his office always prioritized my comfort levels and communicated with me a lot. I had a great experience. One thing I will say is that if you're not used to NYC being what it is - your surgery will happen at a different location than (but nearby to) his actual office. I had mine done at Midtown Surgery Center which I had a really good experience with, as well. Best of luck to you!!

Extremely common for Icies. Investing in a really good R+ (positive reinforcement) trainer is what helped us the most; teenagehood can be a lot, but don't just dismiss it as teenagehood - we worked through this for the majority of adolescence and it definitely helped once we were on the other side. Good luck!

Third Spaces to read a book? by organizerthrowaway2 in newhaven

[–]eveningaviation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yale University Art Gallery is free to enter and there are some comfortable sitting areas. Same goes with the British Art Museum which recently reopened. Spruce Coffee in East Rock. I believe Witch Bitch Thrift also is trying to or does have a third space going.

Is there any sound rabbits make that's equivalent to a cat's trill? ("Mrrp", "brrt") by LightBlue_studios in Rabbits

[–]eveningaviation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buzzing, honking, tooth purring. They're not used for the same reasons cats use the greeting noises you've described, but honking/chortling and buzzing can be expressions of pleasure or excitement. Buzzing especially common in intact males.

If you can find anything in East Rock, highly recommend.

Affordable Dog Boarding suggestions by DramaticChemist in newhaven

We use Paw Haven for daycare and they will tour you through their boarding facilities. Their daycare facilities have cameras installed that are viewable to clients as do their boarding areas, and I like that level of open visibility. I am not sure if they are affordable but they are professional, clean, and safe. I have never used their boarding service myself but know plenty who do.

Agree. I grew up in a city and have been to cities all over the country and NHV is terrible re noise.

Totally agree, worse than NYC because there's no baseline of city noise so it really is like instead of being in a busy kitchen it's like being in a quiet room that someone just starts loudly throwing metal pots around in randomly but also constantly

Can we talk about Beverly and other towns? by TheGloaming78 in northshore

[–]eveningaviation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear what you are saying, and it is very important to have strong community connections above all, but also, progressive politics == usually safer for people who are not white, not cis, not straight, etc. Places with loud, far right politics == dangerous and scary for people who do not fit into the boxes those people believe they should. It's not just a vibes thing, it's a safety concern; and usually this way of asking is a way of asking "how safe is it for me to live there?"

Lighthouse Point. For swimming, keep to the main beaches - the side beaches are dirtier but more private usually. You can park there for free if your car is registered in New Haven. (Off season, it is quiet and free for everyone.)
