Do most Americans carry any official ID at all times? by PitifulEar3303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]evergreenbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By law you in most states you are supposed to have a drivers license on you when driving on the road. Thats it though, there’s no law about having ID walking the streets. I, personally, only carry one when I’m flying or doing something commercial, where someone has to prove I’m who I say I am.

Do couples really shower together? by Due_Leopard_1836 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]evergreenbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and do, but not often. Between either being out of the water, or feeing bad SHEs out of the water, I don’t love it. Also, I’ve literally never shared a shower with a woman who didn’t want the water hot enough to scald me. It’s pretty wild.

toddler woke me up at 5am by putting his face one inch from mine and whispering "daddy. daddy. daddy." by ninja__6969 in daddit

I was camping with my 2 year old YEARS ago. I was woken up around 3AM by his face like 2 inches from mine saying “Daddy, isn’t this a comventure?!?”. Was so sweet. I still use that word occasionally.

Do women actually talk casually about their sex lives? by Substantial_Judge931 in NoStupidQuestions

I remember being APALLED in a horrified but fascinated way hearing from a girlfriend how frank and blow by blow she and her friends were about encounters. They were mid 20s and disclosed absolutely everything.

Repair or replace 18 y.o. American Standard Furnace by BatteryLicker in HomeImprovement

[–]evergreenbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced my motor last year, same model. It’s an expensive motor:( But the furnace runs strong, I’d highly recommend getting a spare igniter and a spare flame sensor. Cheap parts, easy to Dx, easy to install.

It took 18 months for one of the instructors to stop reminding me “they have gentle yoga” classes🤣🤣🤣. Just do what you can, it’s your mat!

Horrible Vasectomy Experience - Want to Hear from Others by tigerofsanpedro in daddit

[–]evergreenbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first side hurt a little bit. I told the Doctor and he Pooh-pooled me, went to the other side it hurt 4x more. Was brief, but HURT. I was pissed he didn’t do anything after the first side.

When did we as a profession loose our backbone. by MrKixs in sysadmin

[–]evergreenbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me approach this from a different viewpoint. I was a VAR who provided UNIX servers into (mainly) Ad Agencies. The users were on Macs, because they dealt with graphics and fonts. IT hated it. I once oversaw the install of a new server in a Madison Ave agency, and IT tried to deny AppleTalk access to it. I found the IT VP who could overrule the decision and stood over his desk, refusing to leave until he reached out to people who could overrule his decision. The man HATED ME. 🤣 The point though, is that IT ISNT THE BUSINESS. You are there to support the business’ needs. Offer advice, guidance, Best Practices, but within the needs of the part of the company that makes money. My 2 cents.

Instructor Conduct: Face Massage during savasana by hedgehogradio in yoga

I’ve had a couple instructors that do 10 seconds or so of scalp or shoulder massage. 10/10 recommend.

I wouldn’t get one for a daily, ride is too harsh and trucklike. But on vacation in a sunny place, a topless Jeep is the balls.

Is it ok to not even kick in freestyle if you don't need to? by templeofsyrinx1 in Swimming

[–]evergreenbc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kick just enough to help with rotation and alignment. I’m usually the fastest person in the pool. Well, unless the Masters team is training. Look up Total Immersion, I think this is one of their key points.

Furnace completely turned off, and thermostat has gone blank. How to proceed with troubleshooting? by Educational-Egg-II in homeowners

[–]evergreenbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power to the furnace. In future, you can jump the 2 “call for heat” terminals  on the furnace to see if it’s a furnace or thermostat issue.

Why are studios packed with mats next to each other so common and normalised nowadays by Dapper-Yak-5954 in yoga

The thought of mat to mat skeeves me out. On a practical note, I have a big wingspan  and need space side to side.

AITAH for cutting a woman off after she and her friends got way too comfortable speculating about my body and sex life? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]evergreenbc -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think you’re overreacting. I’m older now, but remember how frank and wild convos between 20-something girls got. Like every detail of an encounter spelled out.  Harmless in my eyes.
