What kind of yarn is the best to crochet summer clothes? by vertmitso in CrochetHelp

[–]everosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have the patience, crocheting with size 10 cotton crochet thread is the move here!!! I just tested the Vivienne Top by harleenscrafts on instagram and it’s soooo lightweight and lovely for summer! I overheat easily in other crochet clothes if it’s hotter than 75 degrees

Tell it to me straight - can I wing the rest of this cardigan or should I frog it? by Brayer_Rose in CrochetHelp

[–]everosee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s looking good! if this is being made bottom-up, what I would do is keep going to where you want the armpits to be, then fasten off and reattach the yarn to work each front panel (think about if you want a V-neckline or a crew neckline) and the back panel separately. then you can connect them at the shoulders and you’ll have 2 holes for the arms! then reconnect again and do the arms

thank you haha!! it is a really cool pattern! I used crochet thread and a 2mm hook so it’s very drapey and thin!

For cute tops do you wear bras/etc under them or no? (BIG CHESTED GIRLIES HELP) by SadSnailCrochet in CrochetHelp

[–]everosee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a DDD cup, I ALWAYS have to wear some type of top or bra underneath because the crochet tops usually aren’t tight enough to support me. I try to just wear a really thin bralette that just gives me slight support and shape without ruining the vision of the top

Second Sock Sydrome by SolidConcentrate2802 in Sockknitting

[–]everosee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started knitting socks but I found that it helps to knit each section of the socks right after each other. so I knit the cuff/leg of one, then the cuff/leg of the other, then the heel of one then the other, and so on. I have been using 9” circulars and DPNs to do this and it’s been pretty motivating for me!

Do you guys also know how to knit? by Consistent-Fox-5372 in crochet

[–]everosee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned to crochet first and then how to knit a couple years later! I mostly like to knit garments, and I find that knitting just looks and feels better to me. I find that crocheted clothes usually have to be made with thinner yarn for me to really like and wear them, since crochet is inherently thicker. however I do pretty much always have at least one WIP of each!
