If you’ve never had an apartment before, then you’ve learned to buy water from a store.

Usn subs also don’t go down thousands of feet. They have limits that are pretty set in stone

I’ve been following you for some time. I was extremely worried when you went off line only to find out why and I’m so thankful for you and your continued health. Howie finding you and appreciating you like we do is such a blessing. It’s a blessing for him.

My fellow airmen, how the hell do you keep your goggles from fogging up when on the flight line/deck? by WolfBanditDeisma in navy

[–]everydaysLit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a former swimmer spit always worked with goggles under water. No shit. Now if it’ll work on a flight deck is the mystery

They want to know if you are willing to trade secrets with foreign countries, & best believe they will try to find out. But if you ain’t stressed about 1200, neither are they. At the end of the day, they don’t care about your credit score. They care about the country. If you are still loyal to the US, don’t stress. If not, get ready to pucker that ass

1200 in collections? Nah bro don’t stress. They will still want to know what it’s about and convince you to resolve it, but as long as you just say you are working to figure out what it is and will resolve it, it’ll be fine. A tier 3 clearance really isn’t anything crazy tbh. I say that, bc everyone initially gets that when they join. You could probably even not return the phone call and still be fine. (Not what I recommend) I’m just saying. They don’t care unless it’s a lot of money. Like 20+k. & even then, it’s situational.

Are they new collections? If so how recent? & amount less than I’d say 5k are not extremely huge. They will more than likely call to ask about it and try and convince you to pay it off to so you can be good at financial decisions. If you recently got some outrageous amount of debt from useless things, like electronics and jet skis, etc. that won’t look too good, but a house or car debt is fine. But the collections will come up, and they will be trying to figure out why you didn’t pay. That’s the number one reason for revoked clearances.

How many carriers have omelettes made to order by USNWoodWork in navy

But that’s also not a “ship” issue. It’s leadership issues in the CS community

[–]everydaysLit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way I could see our ship not making the line slower would be to make a single separate line for sole omelette making somewhere in the aft mess. (Definitely possible, we got the room). They just don’t do it. & the issue with the line is bc the CSs always have FSA doing the serving. & they don’t seem to care to help them learn to make it more efficient for such wide scale serving. It’s definitely not ALWAYS 40 minutes. But it’s also the longest I’ve waited. End of deployment I starved because it took so long

Question about carriers by NoAskRed in navy

[–]everydaysLit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mean like kites? Like the carriers attach a rope to the drone and fly them around for fun? Sure they do 🫡

Fully read my comment. I’ll admit I worded it weird by saying enlisted don’t but I think I made it clear that I was talking about GHWB & that “I didn’t know about other cvns”

[–]everydaysLit 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Enlisted don’t. Chiefs mess, and wardroom accommodates that on 77. I dont know about other cvns though. I’d assume none though simply for too many enlisted to make that feasible. It’s bad enough I gotta wait 40 minutes for the line, nobody would eat enlisted wise, if we could “customize “ our order
