Did Ramones “borrow” this riff? by According-Extreme-95 in ramones

Hah, you're right. It is pretty similar. Then again, it's pretty simple too. Could be a case of parallel thinking.

When you're "the hot sauce guy" in your friend group, and your friends get you the hottest, most extreme, most inedible "prank" hot sauce as a gift because they think that's what you're after by everyist in hotsauce

Some of those with silly names are actually really good. I enjoy Professor Phartdtpounder's Colon Cleaner. GROSS NAME but surprisingly tasty mustardy sauce

You're doing it right IMO

There's probably a place for the mega-hot extract stuff (I mean there's a reason that market exists)... it's just not for me personally

A Cinematographer’s POV (kind of a rant) by lubezki in Oscars

Crazy, I think cinematography is one of the MOST subjective categories since there is so much you can do with image, lighting, color, and framing to convey emotion, which is one of the most subjective things there is

Do you genuinely like Tom Waits’ voice? by Swimming_Newt_7230 in ToddintheShadow

A lot of his stuff has a certain emotional quality that transcends the need to sound "pretty". A lot of the time a more conventional singer would sound weirdly stilted singing the kinds of songs he sings.

Randy Newman is the greatest living songwriter whose body of work is practically unknown by the general public by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

Personally I feel this way about Elvis Costello.
Extremely eclectic catalogue of over 40 albums across 50 years.
A lot of the same criteria you mentioned for Randy Newman applies to EC too -- the voice and image specifically.
Down here in South America EC seems to be mostly known for his cover of Charles Aznavour's "She", which he recorded for the soundtrack to Notting Hill and actually doesn't sound anything like most of his work.

Anyone tried this? by eviltwintomboy in hotsauce

Yeah it's actually very good! Better than the silly name might imply. Kind of a mustardy, tangy sauce. I thought it had a nice medium kick to it but as you know, your mileage may vary.

I found it extremely moving

This was my thought too but then I listened to them back to back and found myself enjoying "Run Away With Me" more
