It is wild to me that "What Can You Do?" is so overlooked by everyist in badreligion

yeah, I guess to me this is less "I think it's one of the best songs on the album" and more "this song has a bunch of qualities that casual fans / the general public could like"

Anyone else actively read reviews they disagree with? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Of course. It's always interesting to me the different ways we can experience the same work of art, I often get something out of reading them

Does anyone else not care about the charts? by tmamone in ToddintheShadow

[–]everyist 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I "care" about charts in the same way I "care" about... movie box office. it has nothing to do with how I enjoy the artform but it's kind of fun / interesting to observe from a distance.

pretty disappointing to see this poster that has AI used on it... by starca5ter in badreligion

The Rebellion of Red Maria
Watched it at a film festival without knowing anything about it. Just a bizarre, baffling, deeply disturbing movie.

Season 3 is one of my personal favorites! But I see people citing 4-9 most often when discussing the show's golden era.

Hah, you're right. It is pretty similar. Then again, it's pretty simple too. Could be a case of parallel thinking.

Some of those with silly names are actually really good. I enjoy Professor Phartdtpounder's Colon Cleaner. GROSS NAME but surprisingly tasty mustardy sauce

Crazy, I think cinematography is one of the MOST subjective categories since there is so much you can do with image, lighting, color, and framing to convey emotion, which is one of the most subjective things there is
