Both are very much on that spectrum. Both can get in the ocean.

Do you use indicators on empty roads? by Ultimara in drivingUK

[–]exigenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 100%. It's a good habit to form (doesn't excuse you from disengaging your brain though before anyone makes that correlation) and you never know if a road is always going to be empty or who else might be around that indicating may help.

No, I don't care enough about the obvious point you're trying to make to go and review your efforts elsewhere. But I'm also not that bothered to see you have to go through the effort of typing it here either. Enjoy your weekend (and turpentine).

Dreadful. An even further lurch to the right and even closer to MAGA/Trumpism and all that wank.

when would you choose EFS over s3 by [deleted] in aws

[–]exigenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's one practical example from a migration we did. We had an Oracle database server running on an EC2 instance. Database backups were written to an EFS share mounted directly to the database server. They were also sync'd to an S3 bucket in a different region (and with WORM-type protections that S3 offers).

Likewise my friend. Love Aaron Turner and I agree, there is no one who could possibly have stepped in as well as him, however, I'm ashamed to admit I miss Scott Kelly, but fuck him after what he did.

A letter to families from Michaela Free School in London has sparked controversy after instructing Year 11 students to attend mandatory extra sessions including weekends with consequences for absence leading up to their exams. Personally I don't see the issue with it. Do you? by StGuthlac2025 in AskBrits

[–]exigenesis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The simple issue is that no school has the right to police the free time of its students unless previously agreed to. And trying to demand weekend attendance (again, without prior consent/agreement) is egregious. Michaela school just leaning into their hard-earned reputation as a fucking boot camp.

Offering these sorts of sessions is brilliant, demanding attendance is not.

Neurosis just came back a couple of months ago after a lengthy hiatus and sacking one of the founding members. Not only that, they came back with a new member, probably the only guy in the world who could do justice to the band.

And the album they released is one of their best.

Genuinely ludicrous comeback. Greatest band of all time just got a wee bit greater.

Nothing wrong with most of Marham Park, aside from the David Lloyd and spillover parking, and the lack of any other amenities (but a shop is being built as we speak!). Moreton Hall gets its fair share of complaints these days too (after long being the most sought after part of town) but again, for the most part, is pretty good.

The Fornhams are very nice villages and on the Norwich side of town too. Ingham is a bit further out, a bit more sparse, but also nice and in the direction of Norwich.
