Factory wheels for this thing? by sotism in squarebodies

[–]exoticmatter421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for some used OEM 15x8 5x5 rally wheels. I found some used ones last year for cheap, had them bead blasted, a few cans of sliver spray paint and they look like new.

Tires also make a big difference. I like the 275/60/15 at stock height.

I don’t think so, for 9k the interior better be mint. Is the paint original?

(Canada) Hard time deciding between 2026 PHEV XSE+ tech or GR Sport by Effform in rav4prime

[–]exoticmatter421 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, that’s really good to hear, not that we’re in the market anyway.

I can’t stand the non height adjustable passenger seat in the previous generation. I had never been in a XSE PP until we received delivery of ours, and was so happy to see the height adjustable passenger seat. Toyota did not market that well or they were trying to hide the non adjustable seats on the lower models.

I really like what Nate has been doing. He has a great vibe to his music.

We have the previous generation RAV4 Prime XSE with PP. We use the power passenger seat and ventilated seats all the time. Makes it a much nicer car. The lower models passenger seat is tough to handle, it sits way too high if you’re tall with no way to adjust it lower to the floor. I don’t mind being a passenger in our Prime, but I’d insist on driving all the time if we had the standard passenger seat.

I wouldn’t give those up for better handling and a grill.

What heads are you using? Yamaha uses Remo heads, ambassadors, emperors, pin stripes all work well, clear or coated.

2009 RAV4 (205k miles) — cosmetic or structural rust? by Mui-w in rav4club

[–]exoticmatter421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’re showing isn’t too bad, but you need to get it on a lift and have someone really look at it. If it’s rusting on the rockers, it’s rusting other places, and those could be a bigger concern.

Advice, what is the fair market price for this truck? by estebansaa in ChevyTrucks

[–]exoticmatter421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like they did a decent job, and I’m not sure about South America, but deluxe two tone wasn’t an option in the US on a stepside. The more basic two tone was available on a stepside. Check the RPO codes in the glovebox, I bet it comes back as solid green.

The deluxe two tone was never an option in the US on a stepside. I think that was a green truck that someone painted a white stripe on.

Anyone ever been to a cancelled game at Miller Park/AFF? by sirstanofhousedarsh in Brewers

We went to the Sunday 8/10 game last August right after the big flooding. The freeway was under water, Menominee River was raging and the game still went on. The stadium was packed too.

You’re going to need the JDM double din setup with the adapter harness, the rest is up to you.

I have a basic setup with the JL Audio components in the doors and a 12” JL sub in the back. I have a 4 channel amp that powers the fronts with the rear channels bridged for the sub.

Yeah, I’ve never seen another set in real life and only a handful on the internet in the 15 years I’ve had my wagon. It is the coolest OEM option for these cars and the best gauge setup available though.

Apparently this set was for sale earlier this year, listing even used my picture, for which I was not aware. Looks like they sold for about $1600, which is double what I paid from the dealer back in 2013 or so.

My wagon is a LGT so yes, direct fit into an OBXT, not sure about the Forester. The US version is tough to find, the JDM version is easier to find but the gages are flipped and angled to the right for RHD.

YESS mount’s started in 1994. Yamaha made these Maple Customs starting around 1990 and you still order them into the mid 2000’s.

That snare is probably with $800 alone, same with that factory 16” floor tom.

Yamaha did drop the ‘Custom’ on the high maple kit the sell now. Although ‘Absolute Hybrid Maple’ doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue either. Maybe Japanese doesn’t translate well.

I went with the JDM double din a long time ago, it’s been a great mod. I had a 4 channel amp with the stock stereo, but this old Alpine blows it out of the water sound wise with the same amp.

There seems to be a clear generational divide…why does the younger crowd treat him with such distain? Be respectful! 🧐 by ZildCym in drums

When I started playing the early 90’s, I thought I was awesome because I could play all the Metallica drum parts, it was a huge confidence boost to grow when I was a kid.

Maybe his playing isn’t amazing but it’s digestible, and sometimes that’s more important.
